Something's Been Brewing...
While I've been working primarily as an actor for the last several years in NYC, I've also had the opportunity to work on many other aspects of production. From writing and producing plays for theatre, to working in film and commercials as a production assistant, assistant cameraman, and assistant director.
I am now taking all of my experiences from both sides of the camera and fusing them into my biggest project yet -- directing my own film!
Over the past year, I've written a feature length screenplay (120 pages) that I am extremely proud of. But before I can make the entire movie, I first need to get the attention of big time producers and distributors.
I plan on doing that by creating a short film version of my script!
It will essentially be the first 10 - 15 minutes of the full script and will hopefully leave the audience wanting more.
This short film version can have a life of its own in the film festival circuit as well as bring focus to the feature. It can also serve to help launch and improve the careers of the film makers and actors!
I've been chasing my dreams and doing the artist hustle for several years now. I have put a tremendous amount of thought and energy into this project.
I believe in this project. It's the culmination of everything I've learned so far as an artist, entrepreneur, and adult.
If you believe in me and my team, please help us bring this film to life!
Lights, Camera...Action!
Making a movie can be expensive. Even a short one! Many "low budget" short films often cost $15,000 or more to produce.
We aim to do it for lower. Much lower. We obviously want to do it for the lowest possible price.
That being said, we don't want to sacrifice the look or feel of this movie. We're aiming to create nothing less than a visually stunning, beautiful, professional film!
We've crunched the numbers and found a budget that is streamlined and cost effective -- but doesn't sacrifice quality.
This budget will first and foremost pay for equipment rental.
We aim to rent and use the best possible equipment available. This will include state of the art digital cameras, lenses, rigs, dollies, lights, mounts, audio equipment and accessories.
The look and feel of this movie is of the utmost importance to us. To help us create a unique world that will transport the audience, we will also need props, costumes and a hair and make-up professional.
Most importantly we will need quality actors! We have a short list already in mind, but there are still roles that need to be cast and we want to be able to PAY for professional actors who will breathe life into this script! We'll be holding auditions and using NYC casting directors and resources.
Anyone who has mounted a production or run a business before knows how fast costs add up. Miscellaneous things like gas, food for the crew, etc. We have worked hard to create a budget that is low on everything except quality!
