This dark comedy is a short, 10 minute, film about two "gangsters" who lose a picture of their next target, Ted Hollowitz. Left with just his name and a picture of his Havanese dog, the two haphazardly try to find him. A thesis film that's needed to graduate and costs more than a college student can afford, "Snowflake" takes a comedic spin on the trials of misinformation during a time when deception lands people in pinnacle places.
With your help, I'll be able to focus my attention on the work that I'm creating and less about making ends meet to make this film. I know $4,000 sounds like an outrageous amount to ask for a student film, but a thesis film is one of the few times in a young filmmaker's life that he can take advantage of cheap equipment, cheaper locations, and friends willing to help for the love of cinema. The costs I'm facing to make this film possible would allow me to not limit myself or the other talented crew members excited to bring this production to life.
Thankful for all of the help I am already receiving and the resources at my disposal, like my parents cooking meals for my crew and equipment at Brooklyn College, but there are a number of unavoidable expenses from all aspects of production. Our $5,000 budget includes:
- Booking talented actors
- Production Design & Prop Purchases
- NYC Film Permit
- Location Rentals
- Snacks for my Crew
- Transportation of equipment
- Camera & Lighting Equipment that Brooklyn College can't provide
Donating & helping in whichever way would be the kindest of gestures that I will unexplainably be appreciative of. And plus, there's perks!
