"Socio-Zombie" is a short comedy/horror about a little zombie girl named Cloe who also happens to be a sociopath and enjoys murdering people just for the fun of it. One evening, while Cloe is sleeping, she is suddenly awakened by the neighbours' loud music. Trying to be civil about the situation, Cloe asks the neighbours to turn down the music. They ignore her, which makes Cloe mad. Now she plans on having her revenge!
One peaceful night, Cloe suddenly wakes up from the loud party raging in the neighbour's house. She tries to cover her head to ignore the loud music, but eventually, she gets up. She visits her neighbour's house and politely asks them to turn down the music. They ignore her. Cloe dashes to her shed to grab some tools.
That’s the first half of the story. You’ll have to wait to see what happens next when the film is finally finished.
We are asking for £5,000 (in Great British Pounds) for me and my team to produce a 1-and-a-half-minute cartoon short.
The cost will cover:
- The cost of animation.
- The cost of sounds and music.
- The cost of voice artists.
Please see the rewards tiers below.
If you would like to support the campaign but cannot afford to donate, that's perfectly okay. All I ask is that you share this campaign with your friends and family, especially those who are into horror.
The impact of this campaign will hopefully raise our profiles on the internet, allowing more people to recognise our work, both new and old. As a filmmaker, I am hoping to venture forward creatively and move toward further projects. This could include another Socio-Zombie film with an extended length or perhaps a brand new Literally Hell cartoon.

Just like all crowdfunding campaigns, there are risks and challenges. The main risk is funding, not only your money but mine as well. I am currently researching and planning on marketing this crowdfunding campaign. Based on past experience, I know for a fact that organic posts alone on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram won't be enough.
If this campaign doesn't get fully funded, then the most likely scenario is that I'll still be able to create this film with a sound designer on board and some voice artists. However, I won't be able to do it full-time. I am currently working part-time in a supermarket, and if the goal doesn't reach £5,000, then I would still have to keep my part-time job while animating Socio-Zombie.
There are 6 different reward tiers to choose from.
IMPORTANT: Within the first week of launch, all reward tiers will be discounted by up to 50% off. This discount will be available between March 22nd and March 28th. All tiers will revert to full prices on March 29th.
As mentioned before, we are asking for £5,000 to produce 1 and a half minutes of an animated short film. However, we have set up stretch goals to extend the length of the film. For every £2,500 raised, we'll be able to extend the film by an extra 30 seconds.
Here are some examples of stretch goals:
Additionally, we will happily hire another animator or two to assist me in producing this short film. I have a couple of animation friends who may be able to assist me.
To market Socio-Zombie, I aim to submit it to film festivals suitable for horror films, such as Haunted House Fearfest, Kino London Short Film Festival, Dead Northern Horror Film Festival, and many more. If the campaign reaches its goal of £5,000, the deadline for the finished film will be June 17th. The finished film will be publicly uploaded to both YouTube and Newgrounds on December 17th.
(Disclaimer: These are the key dates for the crowdfunding if the campaign reaches the goal of £5,000. The campaign is flexible, but if it raises less than £5,000, the key dates may alter, as I won't be able to work on animating the film full-time.)
Still want to help out but can't donate? That's perfectly understandable. Here are a couple of things you can do to support the campaign:
And that's all there is to it.
