About Spartan Mambo

Spartan Mambo is the official salsa performance team at San José State University. Our goal is to enrich the lives of SJSU students and members of the San Jose community through performance salsa dance.

We perform at numerous events throughout the school year, both on and off campus. Some of our past events have included the Spartan Basketball games, Fire on the Fountain, the San Francisco International Salsa Congress and the World Latin Dance Cup.

Our Goal

This year, our team will be traveling to the College Salsa Congress in Los Angeles. The College Salsa Congress is the largest collegiate salsa competition in the country, bringing together students from over 25 colleges and universities who compete for the title of College Salsa Champion.

We are seeking to raise $4,000 through this Indiegogo campaign. The money will go towards our travel & lodging expenses, event registration fees, and costumes and apparel. We have a large team this semester, so we have a lot of expenses. Anything you can contribute is appreciated!

The Impact
