Short Summary

Hello True Believers! My name is Chuck, I am the co-creator and letterer and digital media editor with Sporkman Studios and along with my partner Eric J. Berry. We released our first comic, Sporkman: Conventions, back in the 2006. Since then we released the short story Sporkman to the Rescue and the three issue Sporkman Goes to Japan originally in black and white due to production cost.  After a years’ long hiatus we went back and had Conventions and then Goes to Japan colorized. We have successfully funded and fulfilled two campaigns. We are now spinning off the character, Natsume, from Goes to Japan in her own manga series, Spearhead. We have re-teamed with Oray Studios who has also grown throughout the years.

Spinning Out of Sporkman Goes To Japan! Our heroine Natsume Wubi continues to battle the "remnants" of Shogun Z's forces, even though he has been captured and put on trial. How will she deal with the remains of his forces? Will she be able to capture and bring Reiko to justice? . Spearhead: Zero will be a 20+ Black and White Manga and it will have darker themes from manga's like Ghost In The Shell, You're Under Arrest and more. Our version of Japan pulls from these elements and incorporates into a unique story. We currently have a cover and 5 pages finished and are working on the other pages while we speak.

Nastume Wubi -  A.D.F. agent. Unsung hero. Scientist, Creator of the Super Mecha Sporktron. Carries a spear. Known for sudden outfit changes. After teaming up with Sporkman in his last adventure, Natsume has made it her mission to bring down the forces of Shogun Z. Natsume is on a quest to find out more about herself and her powers given by the spear, while learning to wield her power for the forces of good. What does the future hold for her in this brand new adventure?

Noburo Hashimoto – A.D.F. founder and head administrator. Father figure to Natsume.

Tatsuo Matsudaira / Shogun Z – Owner of Zen-tech Corp. Matsudara, (under the guise of Shogun Z) attempted to take over Japan after creating a giant war mech. Defeated by Sporkman, he now stands trial for his actions.

Reiko Katayama – Shogun Z’s second in command, Reiko was a spy at A.D.F. She was never taken into custody and is currently at large.

Risks & Challenges

As with any comic there are risks of delay due to shortage of materials. We have turned into producing most of the project in-house besides the art work. Our Artist's have a rich history of production process. As our last funding on Sporkman Goes to Japan we didn't reach our funding goal but we still completed our fulfillment. So we are guaranteed to complete our project! With your help it will be quicker.
