Be a Part of Stagecoach Inferno History!

You've asked for it, and it's finally time. Fasten your gun belts and strap on your spurs, because where we're goin', there ain't no comin' back.

A Town Called Atonement is a concept album about heroes, villains, and supernatural forces in the Wild West. With your help, it will be released in CD and digital formats in early 2016. It will also be accompanied by a "dime novel" detailing the events described in the songs, a US tour full of ruckus and mayhem, and a plethora of merchandise for your gunny sack.

The Story so Far

Established in 2008, Stagecoach Inferno has grown to become a heavy metal staple in the Louisville community and outlying frontier. After years of gigging, we finally decided to sit down and craft a full length album.

We've worked for over a year just making these songs shinier than cow spit, and now we're ready for the world to hear them. Want a sample of our sound? Check out Bandcamp for a free demo download of "How the West Was One".

What's done:

  • Drums have been recorded at the prestigious Butchertown Pub Studios
  • Guitar rhythms have been recorded
  • Bass has been recorded and immediately muted
What's in progress:
  • Vocals are being recorded and are nearly complete
  • Writing for the dime novel is underway
What's up next:
  • Guitar solos will be recorded
  • Mixing and mastering will be performed

The Bounty: What We Need

All of your chips, gold, and brothel tokens will go towards:
  • Album art by the awe-inspiring Justin Kamerer of Angryblue Ministries
  • Engineering and production by the legendary Zak Denham of Anagnorisis fame
  • Mastering
  • CD replication
  • Nationwide promotion and distribution

The Reward: What You Get

Aside from a copy of the album, backers can also get their mitts on these treats:

The Risks: What Lurks in the Hills

Producing and distributing a quality album doesn't come easy. From shipping delays to snakebites, all kinds of things can go wrong.

What if we don't hit our goal? We may need to skip the promotion budget. Nationwide distribution could wait until later. Shoot, the album may not come out until late 2016. But let's make one thing clear: A Town Called Atonement will be released no matter what. And if you claimed a perk, you will get it.

Infrequently Asked Questions

Q: I had no idea there was a story for your songs. What's the synopsis?
A: After the accident at the mine, Kilpatrick Dagley turned to a quiet life on the farm. But a gift for premonition leads him to discover a sinister plot that threatens not only his family, but the entire town of Atonement. Now, Dagley must make a choice: will he escape the clutches of evil, or will he face them head on?
Q: Why the Wild West?
A: There are myriad themed bands out there. May they be serious or silly, many of them blend cultural history and mythology to write their music. Some of our favorite bands sing about wizards, dragons, trolls, pirates, and vikings. We love it, but that's not American mythology. For us, it's the Wild West.
Q: Are you really going to mute the bass on this album?
A: No Time will tell.
