Short Summary

Hi! My name is Ellie Jackson. I'm a Milwaukee-based musician recording my debut full-length album. 

Who am I? I'm a singer-songwriter, entrepreneur and activist. I was born on the East coast but grew up in the Midwest and call Wisconsin home. I grew up singing in school choir and band, and in 2013 I moved to Milwaukee where my interest in music exploded. I organized festivals, played acoustic at some open mics, organized my own open mics, and really developed an understanding of my connection to music. After starting to collaborate in some friends' bands, I picked up my first electric guitar at the ripe age of 32 and have been forever changed.  

This campaign is special to me because we'll be recording my first full-length collection of music! Equally important to the tunes themselves are the people helping bring my music to life. I get to work with some of my best friend and most trusted collaborators who all happen to be wildly talented.

I believe strongly in the value of art and artists and with the help of your donations, we will be able to compensate that incredible team of creatives making this project possible!  

What We Need & What You Get

We're asking for $10,000 and here's how we're going to use it:

• Half of the funds will be going towards labor, with the simple goal of paying my bandmates, engineer, videographers and friends guesting on the album $100/day - which isn't much considering we'll be spending long days in the studio, but is a step in the direction of honoring my dearest friends' time and talents! 
• The rest of the funds will be going to purchasing the merch that we're using as perks, as well as marketing the album once it's completed!

If we don't reach our financial goals, then everyone gets paid less, the album will be marketed less, and less merch gets purchased. We will pivot, and the album will be made, but it would be amazing to reach our goal and have my vision come to fruition fully!
