Up until now, there have only been two types of stabilizers on the market: classic counter-weighted mechanical and motorized brushless gimbals. With SteadyCross we're introducing a new category: Magnetic Camera Stabilizer.
Compared to traditional mechanical stabilizers, SteadyCross is an extremely easy to use piece of equipment - there is no need for extensive training. It is basically a point-and-shoot device: just follow your target and the rig will take care of the rest, while the twin-grip design makes sure you won't be straining your arms.
Having no electronics means you can rely on it under any circumstance, it can never die on you. In addition, brushless gimbals tend to add a certain robotic feel to your shots, while SteadyCross - being an analog device - gives you natural movements and total control.

SteadyCross is the first 3-axis gimbal which uses Eddy Current for camera stabilization. Thanks to an aluminium ring and a circular array of neodymium magnets the patent pending Magnetic Rotor provides frictionless rotational damping. It works on the same principle as the braking systems of high-speed trains or roller coasters.

The proprietary Torsion Limiter almost perfectly eliminates the pendulum effect, which is the most common disadvantage of the traditional counter-weighted gimbals.

SteadyCross has a rigid aluminium and stainless steel body, while all the custom-designed parts are 3D printed and made of TitanX*, a high-performance industrial grade ABS plastic. Self-aligning bearings and super strong neodymium magnets ensure efficiency, while the comfortable rubber grip handles, the Manfrotto compatible quick release plate and the tripod legs offer a user friendly experience.

SteadyCross Step by Step setup tutorial:
SteadyCross can handle Handycam, Bridge, MILC or DSLR cameras up to 3.5lbs (1600g), but it’s optimized for Mirrorless Cameras. While putting a bigger payload on the rig is not recommended, a slightly heavier camera setup may still work properly with a marginally slower follow mode on the pan axis.

By releasing a couple of screws with the supplied hex wrench, you can easily dismantle the arms which makes it simpler to pack the stabilizer in a bag or luggage.

We are a team of multimedia experts and R&D specialists located in north Hungary. During our work we often had to use camera stabilizers, and it was never a flawless experience for us. We found all mechanical stabilizers quite difficult to use and less effective, and even with the most expensive motorized gimbals we frequently had technical issues. We thought there must be another way, so we ventured into development. After years of R&D we have finally invented the world's first Magnetic Camera Stabilizer and prepared for mass production.

We use the latest FDM-3D printing technology to manufacture the custom parts of the rig, which are made of TitanX* a high-performance ABS plastic. This industrial grade engineering material assures the highest possible strength, durability and temperature tolerance. In addition, 3D printing allows us to continuously develop without compromises and without the physical and financial constraints of CNC-machining or injection molding. By using a cutting edge 3D printing farm we can also keep our production costs low.

SteadyCross rigs are manufactured and assembled by our team without any third party manufacturing or fulfillment supplier on another continent. We have perfected all our processes, tested our vendors and have already started production. While scaling up our capacity on demand might pose some challenges in case of an unexpected level of success, delivery for early backers will start right after the campaign!
