Three (3) of the biggest problems are poor quality and non-reusable materials in the existing STEM learning boxes on the market today. Sustainability is a growing concern in today’s consumer market. 90% of STEM learning boxes are made of toxic plastics and cause waste disposal issues in the environment. Lastly, market leaders enforce subscription plans that are not economical and penalize buyers by charging higher prices for not joining a subscription plan. More parents and businesses are shifting towards STEM learning boxes that are more eco-friendly, durable, accessible and affordable. This apparent need has opened a new lane that STEM Powered Kits is currently filling.

The vast majority of schools do not have STEM programs and the schools that do on average hold classes once a week for 1 (one) hour with no take-home projects.

Meet the Mother-Daughter duo! STEM Powered Kits is a family-owned and female-owned business with a combination of both youth and experience. Alaina Davis is the 11-year old Chief Executive Officer of STEM Powered Kits. She is an A-Honor Roll Student at Georgia Cyber Academy is a HUGE stem fanatic! Zakiya Brown is the Chief of Operations at STEM Powered Kits. She is an Alumni of the Unsinkable Albany State University. She holds both a Bachelors's and Master's degree and has over 13 years of experience in true entrepreneurship and growing and scaling businesses.

Balloon Race Car: Explore the force of air and the momentum it produces while building a car that’s powered by a balloon. Build a balloon race car then attach a balloon, inflate it, and let it go!
