Hi my name is Stevie, I am 33 years old and live in The Blue Mountains in Australia.

So my life has had many ups and downs starting from a baby, at just 18 months of age I was diagnosed with Juvenile Chronic Rheumatoid Arthritis, which has effected all of my joints. Since I was diagnosed my life has pretty much been filled with Drs appointments, tests, physiotherapy and surgery. To date I have had my left foot reconstructed twice, I have had both my knees replaced and both my hips replaced. I had my first joint replaced when I was just 21 years old. My Orthopaedic surgeon said I had the knees of an 80 year old. My neck is naturally fused from the Arthritis and my fingers and toes are all bent.

Despite this disease I have tried to live as normal a life as possible, even though most of my life has been lived in pain. I went all through school and then to work, unfortunately due to the wear and tear and deformities this disease has caused me in May of 2012 I had to give up work, which means I am now on a disability pension which is not a lot of money but just gets me through week to week. All the years of Arthritis has also given me Osteoporosis which now also means my bones fracture easily.

I have been on many medications throughout my life for my Arthritis. One of the medications I have taken for nearly 20 years now is Prednisilone which is a steroid, this drug helps with my pain and inflammation but has made me put on a lot of weight  (putting on so much weight has put a lot more pressure on my already damaged joints). whilst trying to fall pregnant this particular drug is one of the safest drugs I can be on. All the years of being on this drug has also given me Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome which means I have lots of little cysts on my ovaries and this is the reason I am unable to fall pregnant naturally.

I have a 4 year old daughter named Angel whom I had through IVf successfully my very first attempt. She is my dream come true and I would love her to have a brother or sister to share her life with.

It would be another dream come true to have a baby with my partner and best friend James, we have been trying for 2 years now with no luck. My partner is the most loving and caring man I have ever met. He is the first man I have been with who has not expected me to work with my condition and he not once has made me feel bad about this.

I absolutely love being a mum and its unfortunate that this disease has made my life so hard yet it has also taught me to embrace my life as much as I possibly can especially for my daughters and my partners sake, to have love in your life is amazing and to be able to have another baby in my life would just top my life off.

Unfortunately there is no funding in Australia for IVF not even with circumstances such as mine. We are just normal every day working Australians wishing to complete our family, my partner is a road worker and our income at the moment just covers our normal every day living, we are not greedy people who wish to be rich, we just desperately would love to complete our family.

Knowing a platform like this could make our dream possible is simply amazing and if we are successful at reaching our goal, I would simply be lost for words. What do you say to anyone who would be kind enough to make this happen. All I could say is Thank you from the bottom of my heart and may in turn many of your dreams come true. Xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox
