After the original B-2 Nano Blade raised nearly $450K in total funding last year, it went on to become the most funded pocket knife project in history. This time around we wanted to do something different by getting all of our original backers involved in the design process.

We're extremely proud to introduce the newest addition to our B-2 Pocket Knife Collection - BLITZ, a SMALL pocket knife designed and created by all of our backers!

Over the past year, we asked all of you to help us design and create the ultimate pocket knife together as a community of adventurers, creators, and designers through a series of surveys, updates, and emails. This included over 1,000 surveys from 22,000 original backers and over 10,000 data points analyzed to create the World's First "Crowd-Designed" Project.

The B-2 Pocket Knife Collection was inspired by the notorious B-2 Stealth Bomber military aircraft.  The B-2 Bomber is notably the most advanced warplanes in history. Nearly 80 percent of the aircraft is made from woven composites that incorporated glass, carbon, and graphite fibers. Made of 440Carbon Black Stainless Steel, the BLITZ is a slightly bigger, slightly beefier, and ever so slightly... more badass.  

 Based on your feedback, we incorporated these aspects of design into our new Bomber BLITZ Pocket Knife. Our new design is meant to be a chubby style knife. It's wider than a normal proportion of a standard knife. This allows the BLITZ pocket knife to be more durable and stronger in situations that require the use of force. It also gives a stronger grip to the user's hold. At only 3.7 inches, the BLITZ is small enough to conceal in any coin pocket. Its the first of its kind and we are absolutely sure you will love it!

Tanto Blade - Many backers asked if we can incorporate a tanto blade into the new design. The blade has a high point with a flat grind, leading to an extremely strong point that is perfect for stabbing into hard materials. The thick point of the tanto blade contains a lot of metal near the tip, so it is able to absorb the impact from repeated piercing that would cause most other knives to break. Bonus: We are also able to utilize a serrated edge and straight edge.

Small Size -  Discrete conceal-ability is the definition of the BLITZ Pocket Knife. The BLITZ is approximately 9.5cm or 3.7 inches in length. We wanted to keep it small enough to be fully-concealable (in coin pocket) and easy to carry on a day to day basis but also heavy duty like a full pocket knife.  

Blade - The BLITZ will have an oversize grip in width and blade which gives it a better handle for tactical use. This style of "chubby knife" is the first of its kind. 

Just like with the original B-2 Nano Blade, the BLITZ incorporates a non-serrated portion of the blade featuring a flat grind. The blade itself is very robust giving the BLITZ full tactical abilities despite its smaller form.

440Carbon Black Stainless Steel - The entire body and blade of the Blitz will utilize 440Carbon Black Stainless Steel making the BLITZ one of the strongest pocket knives ever created by mankind. Rated at 58-60HRC (Rockwell Hardness Scale) the BLITZ is extremely tough and will stay sharp for longer periods of use. 440C is a highly durable and corrosion resistant stainless steel. The BLITZ can endure years of outdoor wear without extra maintenance to protect the blade from rusting.

Bomber Signature Perforations - Many backers mentioned adding our signature 3 perforated holes into the blade. Perforated blades allow cutting and slicing of materials to not stick onto the blade itself. It provides a cleaner, sharper cut.

Heavy Duty Screws - The BLITZ will utilize stronger and larger screws than the original B-2 Nano Blade. This allows the pivot point of the blade to absorb extreme impact or force meaning it will be more durable than ever.

Urban Military Concept - All of our Bomber & Company products have a military design and tactical aesthetic. The BLITZ is engineered to hold durability and functionality to the standard of military-grade equipment. Vincent Pilot Ng (Lead Designer) has had over 10 years of professional experience in product design. He has brought about other renown products to markets such as the Bomber Barrel Duffle Bag, original B-2 Nano Blade, and Halo Belt.

Legality - As a two-handed folding blade under 3 inches in length, it is technically legal worldwide. Please double check with your local customs to make sure the knife falls within local legal restrictions.

Weight - The ultralight weight of the B-2 BLITZ TANTO STRAIGHT EDGE Pocket Knife comes in at less than 2oz making it one of the lightest, fully functional, 440C black stainless steel tactical pocket knife in the world.

Folding/Locking: The BLITZ is both locking and folding. Safety was one of our main concerns when it comes to a knife of this size. We wanted the design to be suitable for beginners as well as intermediate knife experts. The lock is a lever rather than a push button. You can actually use the spine to scrape flint without the worry of it coming around when the blade is locked. This makes the knife design much more robust than traditional smaller blades which are just folding.

When the BLITZ opens, the lever "SNAPS" into place to lock the blade from accidentally closing when in use. The user can feel and hear the tactile sound and click on the lock. To close, all you have to do is press the locking lever to open. Utilizing the latest manufacturing and engineering technology, we made sure to leave ZERO wiggle room.

Over the past year, we have had several reiterations of prototyping as you can see below.  The first prototypes were designed out of aluminum casts and wood. After several months of collecting surveys and feedback, we added many more features including a quick access tab and even a thumb grip for better stability when in use. See the below pictures.
