1. How do I choose which color of STROM I will receive?
Once the Indiegogo campaign period ends, all of our supporters will receive a survey asking them to select which color of STROM they would like to receive. If you have pledged for multiple units, you will be able to select how much of each color you want.
2. Can I charge STROM without having my iPhone connected?
Yes! STROM’s intelligent charging technology detects when there is no iPhone connected, and will direct power to STROM’s internal battery instead.
You already leave your Apple wall charger plugged into the outlet, even when not charging your iPhone. Now leave STROM plugged into the outlet along with your Apple wall charger. The result: STROM stays 100% charged and always ready to go.
3. Will STROM consume power when left plugged into the outlet?
No! STROM is specially designed to be left plugged into the outlet when not in use, so that its always charged and ready. Its advanced, eco-friendly, shut-off circuitry means that once charged, it consumes no ‘Stand-by Power’.
4. Will STROM speed-charge all iPhone models?
No. STROM is specifically optimized to meet the increased charging power demand of the new iPhone 6 models and speed-charge them safely, while confirming to Apple Charging Specifications for iDevices. The Apple iPhone 6 PLUS, for instance, can actually demand over double the power (2.0 Amp) supplied by the wall charger (1.0 Amp) included with it. The older iPhone models have a peak charging power demand that does not exceed 1.0 Amp and so STROM will charge them at the same speed as your regular Apple 1.0 Amp iPhone wall charger.
5. Will STROM speed-charge my iPhone, even when charging it using the Apple iPhone wall charger?
No. STROM is specifically designed to output a higher 2.1 Amp charging current when used as a standalone portable battery pack. When charging your iPhone along with STROM using an Apple iPhone wall charger, it gives the same output current as your Apple wall charger i.e. 1.0 Amp.
6. What is the Warranty?
We provide a one (1) year limited warranty. We guarantee you receive your STROM free of manufacturing defects.
7. Can I change or cancel my perk?
Indiegogo policy dictates that campaign owners have no ability to adjust perk selections. That means we cannot upgrade your perk, we cannot change your perk and we cannot cancel your perk. Please note that contributions made on Indiegogo are also non-refundable.
8. Is the Apple iPhone wall charger and the Apple charging cable included?
No. We only manufacture and ship the STROM iPhone Battery Pack. You must use your own Apple iPhone wall charger and regular charging cable.
9. When was your product founded?
We started working on the product idea about 9 months ago.
10. When was the first prototype built?
In January 2015.
11. Where are you at the current stage of manufacturing?
We have already invested in the tooling and the first pilot lot of 100 units would be produced shortly. These will be used for further final testing and certification, before starting production after end of our Indiegogo Campaign.
