Stuck _ Summary

My name is Praheme and I’ve been making films since the age 15. I graduated from Howard University with a BA in Film and earned a MFA in Film Production from Florida State University before making my first feature film Troop 491: the Adventures of the Muddy Lions in 2013.

As CEO of Praphetic Praductions and iamWE Film Collective, we strive to diversify the standards of Hollywood, honestly depicting the complexities of Blacks & minorities, by telling rich stories that relate to all. I recently moved from Richmond, Va to Los Angeles, Ca to enhance my career in the film industry.

Stuck is my return to directing and I am super excited to share this film with you and the world. Stuck is a romantic comedy that follows two strangers who become physically wedged in the act of a “one-night stand”. Their only path to separation is to be vulnerable and share a secret with one another. Stuck stars breakout sensation Javicia Leslie and comedic rockstar Hari Williams.

Javicia Leslie has been busy filming in 2017 as the lead female in The Family Business based on the NY Times best selling author, Carl Webers Novels. Her first stream of work began as the lead for the television film, Killer Coach. Javicia has continued work ties with series such as MacGyver, Chef Julian, and Prototype.

Hari Williams is a Howard University alum, actor and content creator based in Los Angeles.  Hari has worked in Runner, Runner, Caged Animal, Resident Evil biohazard (video game), and My Crazy Roommate.

What We Need & What You Get

Making films is a very expensive endeavor and that is why we need your help to raise $5,000 in 40 days to help cover Film Festival and Distribution cost.

Your funds will go directly towards covering Film Festival Submission Fees ($30-100 each), Festival travel and lodging for talent (two actors & director), Promotional and Marketing materials (press kits, trailers, posters, flyers), exhibition files (DCP file/Blu-ray), and private screenings (Los Angeles, CA and or Richmond, Va).

We have already invested over $12,000 on creating Stuck. Our budget was  $7,000 on  Production (talent, filming, lights, camera, production design, etc) and $5,000 on Post Production (editing, sound design, coloring, score, etc).

We need your assistance to reach the finishing line. Hitting our goal means that we can put our best foot forward with Film Festivals, Distribution and Exhibition. We have currently submitted to 13 Film Festivals and counting.  We are targeting Film Festivals that are Oscar qualifying  as well as Festivals that offer Awards and cash prizes.  We have amazing Perks to offer our campaign supporters.
