Short Summary
The Colbert Report meets South Park and like South Park, nothing is safe with us.
Eight "Whitehouse Mates" will live in a house together and participate in diplomacy, bi-partisanship, and physical challenges. Stump is an extension of the existing successful web series Dog News: Unfair and Unbalanced, starring Andrew Collins (The Bold and the Beautiful, Dark Shadows) and Andy Forrest (Parks and Recreation). www.DogNewsTeam.com. As an existing web series, we already have a built in audience, which we are expanding on through Stump. The show will be hosted by News Babe Candi Cotton ("Tune in because I'm hot and you want to look at me") and will skewer not only election trends and events, but also reality tv. This is a follow-up to our "inagural series" ElectME '08. (See scenes from ElectME '08 in our video.)
The Impact
So much of the American population is apathetic when it comes to questioning the status-quo and what 24 hour news cycles tell them to think. Yet through comedy, we both hold a mirror up to their knee-jerk reactions and enhance their desire to think critically about important issues. Plus we make fart jokes.
Additionally, when you join our team, you will enable us to be job creators. Numerous artists work for free on projects they are passionate about and your contribution will enable us to pay them for their talents. In addition to the actors, you will be creating jobs for several directors, a director of photography, a sound person, and numerous other crew people. So please join us.
