Robots for everyone!
Building robots is a fun way of experimenting with technology. When we were young, we also wanted to build our own robots. But at the time this was impossible.
In 2009 we have founded Dwengo, a non profit organisation, to make it happen! From Argentina to India, children are now building robots with Dwengo.
Artistic robots
With this campaign, we are asking your support for our latest challenge.
Dwengo is organising its first International Robot Week in October. We will bring 50 teenagers with different socio-economical backgrounds from all over the world together to build ArtBots: robots that produce art.
With this project we want to achieve three goals:
-
To provide technical skills and robot building experience to high-school students,
-
To cause a cross-cultural exchange of knowledge and experiences,
Google Roots In Science & Engineering
In 2013 and again in 2014, Dwengo has won the Google RISE Award. For the RISE programme, Google has carefully selected about 80 organisations that stimulate Science and Engineering. We are very proud of being part of this international community.
Support us now!
Dwengo is a non profit organisation that works exclusively with a team of volunteers to achieve our goals. For this reason we are continuously in search for helping hands. If you are an educator, student, technician of an administration expert with some spare free time to share with us, do not hesitate to contact us!
But also if you have little time to share you can help us in two ways:
-
Tweet, text, mail around our message and campaign. Refer to #DwengoArtBots or @Dwengo.
-
Support us financially by buying a set of postcards or a unique piece of art.
