A warm hello from MaMuse. We are a female folk duo that has sprouted wings and grown into a soulful four-piece nationally touring band. For the last 18 years we have rooted ourselves in creating music that uplifts and inspires. Our mission is to foster connection, resilience, and joy through our creative works.
This is our most heartfelt and dynamic album yet; a collection of songs that dive deep into the full spectrum of human experience. Inspired by the adaptability needed to face the challenges of the modern world, "This is the Venue" suggests a grounding in the present moment, emphasizing that no matter the circumstances, the here and now is the stage for everything to unfold. This album invites listeners into a world of cathartic grooves, soul-stirring poetry, rich vocal harmonies, intimate storytelling and heart-breaking piano riffs.
We have made a leap into the studio to begin the recording process. We’re calling on our community to help us see this project through as we continue the recording, and further refine the music through layering, mixing, mastering, and production. Together, we can bring "This is the Venue" to life.
Consider joining our CSA (Community Supported Artistry). By contributing, you’re not just supporting the making of an album—you’re investing in independent artists and a movement of music that holds space for people in times of joy, challenge, and change.

The Impact
"This is the Venue" is more than just an album—it’s a reflection of what it means to be human in this time. These songs hold space for grief and celebration, for the hard conversations and the healing that follows.
This project is deeply personal, and it’s also about all of us. Over the years, our community has told us how our music has held them through life’s biggest moments—love, loss, birth, and transformation. This album is our way of giving back, of offering a musical companion for the road ahead.
By supporting this campaign, you’re helping us continue this work:
Creating music that serves as a soundtrack for movement, meditation, and gathering.
Uplifting the independent music industry and funding art directly from the source.
Strengthening a community of people who believe in the power of song.
Risks & Challenges
As independent artists, we’ve always taken on the challenge of funding our own music, and we know the road to completing an album is filled with unexpected twists.
Potential challenges include:
Unexpected production costs – If we need more time in the studio, we’ll adjust and keep our supporters updated.
Printing & distribution delays – We will be transparent with timelines and make sure digital downloads are available first.
Logistical hurdles for perks – We will work closely with our team to ensure smooth fulfillment of all backer rewards.
We are committed to making "This is the Venue" a reality. No matter what, this music will find its way to you.
