Dear Friends,

As many of you already know, Mexico was hit by a devastating 7.1 earthquake yesterday morning. I'm leaivng for Mexico City tomorow morning to go help with the disaster releif efforts and support the city that saw me grow up. 

The situation is dire, some of the city's infratructure has colapesed, and the death toll keeps rising. 

The Mexican people, in an unequal display of civic duty, have come out to the streets in floods to support each other in these times of need.  From what I know, food, water, flashlights, blankets and medical supplies are what's most needed by the first responders and those most affected by this disaster.  Other supplies are needed in different areas too.

$20 USD buys $355 Mexican Pesos. A small contribution in USD will buy a lot in pesos. I'm starting this campaign to buy supplies  (using your USD) when I get to Mexico tomorrow. Anything I don't use, I will donate to Los Topos, the  heroic rescue team that is on the ground, right now, digging people out from under the rubble.  Really, anything helps.
