About the Bocuse d'Or
The Bocuse d'Or is the most prestigious cookery competition in the world! Once every 2 years the best chefs from around the globe come together in Lyon, France for two days of intense competition and huge celebration. Started in 1987 by world renowned chef Paul Bocuse, the competition has grown in size at every event. Now that the 2015 competition is over the Team UK are looking onwards, to continuing the legacy of the Bocuse d’Or and offering exclusive opportunities to the UK food industry, to support Team UK and to promote themselves.

Why do we need the money?
The money raised through your contribution will go directly into preserving the UK’s legacy at the Bocuse d’Or competition. Some practical uses for the money are:
Organising the search and finding the Britain’s brightest new chef to take the Team to the world final in 2018
Allowing the candidate to take at least six months from his/ her day job so that they can prepare adequately for the competition
£5,000 for top of the range specialist equipment, required for the competition.
£10,000 for high quality ingredients required for practice run throughs and for the main event.
£5,000 for transportation costs. Bringing Britain’s kitchen to the Bocuse d’Or!
