Short Summary
Here at First Fiction Productions we strive to destroy the box, creating truly original perspectives that come from our avid passion for science, high sensitivity food allergies, personal experiences in a multitude of economic levels and an intense desire to write for TV.
Thinking of going to Mars? Why not try it out on a fiction show, first? We delve far beyond NASA's current plans, the UAE's current plans and even Elon Musk's current plans, to create a very scientific premise that most scientists will be scratching their heads about, while the average person will enjoy the easily envisioned colony, given the true fact that life is really the same everywhere.
By establishing this series our goal is to not only entertain, but inspire the next generation of scientists to think like pioneers, so this lofty goal of colonizing Mars, can be a little easier to achieve. For we all know many creations were inspired by fiction. Would we have created rockets, without From the Earth to the Moon? What about starting work on making rats see heat with an implant if not for Geordi's VISOR? We hope to inspire similar advancements with our creative ideas about this next wild frontier and you can help!
What We Need & What You Get
The reason for a $3,000,000.00 goal is because we have taken into account modern political factors, so have made this colony an international effort to avoid having the colony bombed.
As a result a large cast is needed of 48 featured characters in the current draft of the pilot, taking VISA and travel expenses for foreign talent to around !$150,000.00 with salaries for talent local and international totaling about $134,400.00.
Fortunately the pilot can be filmed in a small studio that we are in contact with, making location charges total around $14,000.00 with about $280,00.00 allotted for behind the scenes crew, this price the most abstract.
Props should only total around $200,000.00.
Given the high demand of acting, providing quality food and lodging for our cast and crew, especially those from other nations, food and lodging we predict will be $860,000.00.
Add in insurance for everybody involved about $300,000.00 takes the tally up to $2,621,400.00 and it's always a good idea to use whole numbers rounded up for unexpected expenses taking us to three mill.
In exchange for your help, you get a lot of bragging rights. More than that, we offer lots of knick knacks that are Space Trails: Life on Mars related. Put on an IFSE baseball cap to claim you're from Kiev Mission Control. Or grab a T-shirt with the Space Trails: Life on Mars logo featured in this project. And for those with deep pockets the best of all, all seven mascots of the fleet of seven Vi Spatium ships.
As you can guess, given the earlier budget breakdown, if we make enough for any of the above needs, we'll apply the funds to a combination of the portion we can now afford and advertising that will be seeking investors to fund the missing sections. I don't necessarily mean commercials, for even getting angel investors on angel investors websites can be pretty costly.
The Impact
Family shows that captivate the teens and parents, with content acceptable for the children are an extreme rarity that Space Trails: Life on Mars makes one show more common.
By highlighting controversial aspects of colonizing Mars that many have ignored we are pushing a different envelope to inspire a generation of pioneers with your assistance.
With so many people dissatisfied with many aspects of modern society, a show about starting the next refugee sanctuary with the true intelligence Americans once possessed is the ideal series to pull in viewers from many walks of life for a diverse base is the best way to make a successful colony, putting a character there for everyone.
Risks & Challenges
As a micro-production company, working on a massive project, we've already had more delays than I'd like, though my stubborn streak keeps this project moving forwards, even when obstacles slow us to snail-pace.
One thing I've learned during many set-backs throughout my life and from my mother is to take each problem as it comes, plan for the worst, hope for the best and expect the unexpected. Sometimes that means planning, but flexibility facing unexpected outcomes is also very important.
Other Ways You Can Help
Don't have money to contribute? That's fine. I've been there. Share with people you know who can. Share it on your Facebook wall or timeline, Tweet about it. Look up contact info for the company if you have someone you know who you think will be an asset to the project. And most of all, have fun with any shares of this campaign. Like westerns, Space Trails: Life on Mars is a dramady, so fun is important. After all, we're here to entertain.

Thinking of going to Mars? Why not try it out on a fiction show, from the comfort of your home? We delve far beyond the current plans of NASA, the UAE and even Elon Musk to create a very controversial premise that is grounded in real science and easily envisioned by the average person, given the true fact that life is really the same everywhere.
By establishing this series, our goal is to not only entertain, but inspire the next generation of scientists, doctors, parents, officers of the law and armed forces, farmers and even politicians to think like pioneers, so the lofty goal of colonizing Mars can be a little easier to achieve. For we all know, many existing inventions were inspired by fiction. Would we have created rockets without From the Earth to the Moon? What about work on making a bionic eye if not for Geordi's VISOR? Would we have prosthetic arms and legs if not for Luke Skywalker or Six Million Dollar Man? We hope to inspire similar advancements with our creative ideas about this next wild frontier and you can help!
What We Need & What You Get
The reason for a $3,000,000.00 goal is because we have taken into account modern political factors, that make single nations or corporate colonization of Mars dangerous, so have made this show about an international effort to colonize Mars for the safety of our fictional colonists. At least that was IFSE's intention.
As a result, a large cast is needed. The current draft of the pilot calls for 48 characters of various nationalities. This brings the VISA and travel expenses for foreign talent to around $150,000.00 with salaries for talent local and international totaling about $134,400.00.
Fortunately the pilot can be filmed in a small studio that we are in contact with, making projected location charges total around $14,000.00 with about $280,000.00 allotted for behind the scenes crew. This cost projection is the most abstract.
Props should only total around $200,000.00.
Given the high demand of acting, providing quality food and lodging for our cast and crew, especially those from other nations, food and lodging we predict will be $860,000.00.
Add in insurance for everybody involved, about $300,000.00 worth, takes the tally up to $2,621,400.00. Since it's always a good idea to use whole numbers and round up for unexpected expenses it takes our grand total of projected expenses to the three million goal.
And for those with deep pockets, all seven nameplates of the fleet of seven Vi Spatium ships who make the maiden voyage to Mars.
All funds will be used to pursue this project's completion, whether it be paying necessary dues to bring in angel investors to make up the difference between funds raised and episode cost or actual production.
