Who we are & what we're about
Hi we are Shannon/mom/mums and Lia/daughter/dots We are a mother-daughter baking duo with a vision to bring an upscale yet cozy atmosphere to the downtown district of our charming hometown with pies and goodies like grandma used to make, with a twist; with a modern yet eclectic feel. We both have a history in food service and creative arts and feel it's time to branch out on our own. We're two quirky, caring women who have a love for daring flavor combinations and a heart for serving others.
Our goal is to create a warm and welcoming place for a sweet date night, to kick back with friends, or that familiar place open late that lets you unwind after work. We want to impact our community one happy tummy at a time. Our town is lacking a hang out spot where people can walk right in and feel like one of the family. We plan on filling that need. We're a social bunch with the culinary and customer service skills to drive success and embellish our downtown fairway.
We have the recipes, ingenuity, drive and determination. We'll feature many classic pies, several new creations and even pot and shepherds pies. We also will have sweet breads and cupcakes. (a little something for everyone) What YOU our contributors would do for us is bring this from a dream into a reality. We have a plan without enough capital and a vision without enough resources. We don't need much, and the amount may seem very little to many but it's just barely out of reach for us. It truly would be the beginning of so much more than just one storefront, it would be the first step for we business women with dreams of owning an even larger business in the future. Here's to great beginnings.
What We Need & What You Get
We are seeking to raise at least $2,000. This is a low, make-it-work, bare bones figure, our real hope is more towards $10,000. The $2,000 would cover the permits, licensing, legal fees, and other potential unknowns. We already have a commercial ice maker and espresso machine, part of our need is to have a commercial contractor move a water line, other than that the space is move-in ready. We don't have huge needs as we have been collecting items for the shop over time, but a bit more money to take care of legal fees, licensing, and permits is our really big need. And to ensure the longevity of our business in our town, any funds raised beyond our base $2,000 will be saved and used wisely as the need arises.
Incentives and Perks
Let's talk incentives! As if it isn't reward enough just knowing you've helped bring to life something wonderful, we're happy to offer an incentive for you. Contributions in any amount would be very welcome of course. When you donate you have the option of redeeming your perk, so please indicate.
Even if we don't reach our full campaign goal, we will STILL use every bit of your contributions to make this dream a reality. We REALLY want to make our goal since the % we'll receive when we do is significantly greater. But if we don't... Plans may need to be shifted, dates altered, long hours will be put in, but we are determined. There will be pie!
The Impact
In our previous campaign we shared videos and interviews, where folks here in town talk about not having any place to go and hang out, we know we will be the remedy for this.
We as a family are social people with a heart for hospitality. As servers, we have dealt with the public, building friendships with the many people we come in contact with. We look forward to doing this in an even greater way in our own place, in our own town.
