At the core of this story is a young woman trying to find her way through the labyrinth of society’s constraints and expectations. Transitioning through a range of emotional stages, we will really get a sense of this character’s vulnerability and struggle. But what makes this story unique, is that we see all of this played out through the incorporation of new technology. Particularly, a technology that isn’t far away from actually existing.

We have just completed principal photography of the film and are needing your help to get this project through post-production and into the festival circuit. Being a sci-fi thriller, a lot will come down to how we incorporate all the visual and sound elements, creating one complete, immersive story. And as those who have been following us know, we also desperately need your contributions to help aid in recuperating the costs involved during production.

PSA: Most importantly, it's vital that you order the 'Digital Copy' perk or above if you would like to see the film! Unfortunately, you won't be able to access the film any other way until it has passed through the festival circuit. So please support this student project and order your copy while there's still time!

We are a group of young filmmakers based in Melbourne shooting this project as our Grad film. We all come from diverse backgrounds, but what we share, is a love of hard-hitting, tension-raising, storytelling. This story not only pushes girl power but individual power, examining how society’s pressures can affect the human psyche.

Main Cast
Our Lead requires a dynamic emotional range, with the ability to bring intensity and vulnerability all at the same time. Lucy Barrett has it covered. Her audition blew us away and we can’t wait for you to see her in this role.
Some of Lucy’s credits involve EMO the Musical, Neighbours, The Wrong Girl and Offspring. We are stoked to have her on board.

Where the money goes
Location: $ 2000
To take this film to the next level, we need a professional, quality location to help us achieve the high concept sc-fi look we're after. A studio cyclorama is what we believe will get us there . However, it does come at a cost. Please help us bring the virtual world to life by donating.
Food: $ 250
There’s nothing worse than a HANGRY crew. Please help us feed everyone over three days.
Cast: $ 300
To bring quality talent on board means offering that little bit extra. Our hardworking actors will be required to give their time and skills over our 3 day shoot as well as two days of rehearsals in the lead-up. Please help us fuel their cars, top up their mykis and say goodbye to their everyday life while working on our project.
Equipment: $ 700
We are fortunate enough to be able to hire the basics from our Uni. However, to make this a quality production - festival ready, we really need a few extras including lenses, a 4k recorder, lights, and most importantly - a high lumen projector to help create our interactive screen.
Production Design ( Props & Costume ) : $ 250
A virtual reality dating app means dates, which means costumes, which means props, which means makeup, which means money, which means a major head fu--. Please help us cross at least one of these things off the list.
Crowdfunding Fees: $ 350
As much as we love Indiegogo for granting us access to all you lovely people, strings are attached. If we do make our budgeting target, we’ll need to pay fees to access it. Please keep us in the green by backing this project!
Love & Support: $0
As broke Uni students, we know not everyone has the means to financially contribute. But alas, giving money isn’t the only way to help us! Please follow us on Facebook and Instagram, and Share our Campaign with anyone and everyone you know. Every little bit of exposure helps!

The Challenges
Filmmaking is not an easy process. There are weeks of planning, securing, rehearsing, meetings and paperwork - and that’s all before the actual shoot! On-set requires creativity, teamwork, structure and problem solving. And Post-Production, well, that’s made up of caffeine and sleepless nights.
However, our team is ready to meet this ginormous task because we love film and we believe in the story we are telling. This dedication and passion will transcend the barriers that come our way, but that final, financial barrier is really where we need your support.
We realise that making a high concept sci-fi on a tight budget is going to be challenging. But your contribution and belief in us, will be what helps us create a quality production that speaks not only to the masses, but individuals on a personal level.
