We've already filmed and released the well received Swords of Insurgency pilot episode and we have nearly finished episodes 2 and 3! We are seeking funds to to complete this project as a 60+ minute feature film.
The more we raise the more we can do like adding new characters and story lines, better special effects, and killer post production to make this more amazing.
We had a very successful Kickstarter previously which allowed us to really up the game with amazing locations and a killer story.
The goal now is to combine all of these episodes into an amazing 60+ Minute feature film.
The project is now being produced by a non-profit The Washington Film Company so pledges are tax-deductible. By supporting this, you can also feel good that you are helping local actors and crew participate to get education and experience, under the guidance of our more veteran team members.

Decades have passed since the great apocalypse destroyed
civilization. The world has now become a reincarnation of the dark ages,
warlords rule and fight for domination. Firearms are now scarce and
held only by a few who use it to maintain power; hand to hand warfare
has returned as the dominant form of control or liberation against
tyranny.
Our story begins with Abigail a proud warrior with dark past, now
imprisoned in a brutal political prison, run by the Emperor Taneg and
his son Droll, a demented psychopath with a disturbing infatuation for
Abi.
On the outside a rebellion grows against the monstrous Taneg
and his prison, Abigail must find a way to escape and join the rebels
and their mysterious leader. But to what extent will she go? And what
awaits her on the outside, is she stepping out of the frying pan and
into the fire?
A vicious world has been formed and Abi will find out first hand what
it takes to survive and what it means to be human, in world full of
monsters.

Production still from Episode 3
We have some great talent backing this project including Director Michael Neal of Mythology Studios, Director of Photography Omar Juarez of Bad Splice and Action Advisor Jeff Wilhelm. The project is being produced by The Washington Film Company, which is a Washington DC area charity dedicated to promoting film and reaching out to the art community.
Our
cast includes many talented professional stage and film actors, stage
combat experts and martial artists to bring the action alive on screen
in addition to telling the story. It also has many new comers to film which the project is used to help educate them and give them vital beginner experience. This is part of the Washington Film Company mission, veterans working with newcomers to help promote film production and education.

The funds will go toward props, costumes, locations, food, safety gear, post-production and for our cast and crew to create an awesome feature film out the footage we have already shot, and new material to add to the story and settings.
We have so many great locations in Virginia with the perfect
post-apocalyptic look; abandoned sanitariums, jails, warehouses,
industrial parks, chemical plants, etc. but most require a location fee
that we have not been able to always provide with a small budget. We
had to take care that our props and costuming did not get too expensive
which was restricting.
There are many things we can do to improve the
quality; more attention to script writing, character development, better
costumes, rehearsals, better audio, more shot variety, better post-production, etc.Your support will make it possible for us to increase the production value even more and help us deliver a killer 60 minute or more feature.
Risks and challenges
Production still from episode 2
Since we have full time jobs, our production schedule can be tricky.
Sometimes we get lucky and have decent simultaneous availability. Other
times, schedule conflicts lead to delays. But we are very dedicated and
passionate. We would just ask for patience and understanding when it
comes to schedule as this is a project we have to work on during the
weeknights and weekends.
