A complete system to get high-risk businesses trained, equipped, compliant and confident for when seconds count in a medical emergency.
There are few things worse than being faced with a critically injured or ill casualty and feeling helpless due to being untrained or ill-equipped.
TacMed SMART Aid is a complete emergency medical response system that will get high-risk businesses trained, equipped, compliant and confident for when seconds count. The system includes:
- An audit of workplace emergency medical preparedness
- A customised response plan
- SMART Aid training from highly experienced former Military Medics & Paramedics that is contextualised to your workplace and environment
- Trauma First Aid Kits and AED's that equip you to treat the preventable causes of death
- Facilitated bi-annual emergency medical response drills
- 12 months of SMART Aid accreditation
Minutes count in an emergency. A critically ill or injured person can die in as little as 5 minutes due to massive bleeding, airway obstruction, cardiac arrest or hypothermia in trauma. Our new TacMed SMART AID System has been developed to treat the preventable causes of death so more lives can be saved before the Ambulance arrives. SMART Aid trains and equips people to be the help before the help arrives!
SMART Aid has been developed by TacMed Australia, a veteran-owned first aid company that specialises in bridging the gap between traditional first aid and the lessons learnt in battlefield medicine. Our team have decades of real-world experience including Army Special Operations Medics and Intensive Care Paramedics.
Why SMART Aid?
Every year, we get approached by businesses and government organisations who had previously done a "first aid" course or had an off-the-shelf first aid kit but when they really needed it in a life-threatening emergency, they were massively unprepared and ill-equipped due to:
- Less than 5% of workers trained in First Aid
- Have inappropriate trauma equipment for life-threatening injuries
- No plans for responding to medical emergencies
- Less than 3% of businesses have an AED even though survival decreases 10% for every minute before defibrillation
- Not testing their response to a medical emergency despite being 300x more likely to have a medical emergency in the workplace than a fire.
So, with our years of experience treating casualties on the battlefields and on the Ambulance, we refined our principles of treating the preventable causes of death in an emergency and then developed a system to ensure businesses and organisations are ready to respond to a medical emergency.
With the average urgent Ambulance response time in Australia being over 10 minutes and with the potential for a critically injured patient to die in as little as 5 minutes, there has never been a better time to be prepared.
The Impact
By supporting our initiative, even just by sharing it with your friends and family, you are not only getting a sweet deal and big discount from the RRP but you are helping a small Australian Veteran Owned Business to save lives through world-class training and equipment.
The money raised by purchasing perks will enable us to further innovate our range of products and get them into the hands of those who need them most. Everyday Australians.
Risks & Challenges
There is no denying that the current Coronavirus Pandemic has made it tough for small businesses like ours to operate. Whilst we are a stable business who have been operating for 10 years, the current pandemic may delay any face-face training until government health restrictions relax.
At the time of this campaign going live, there are no manufacturing delays in our kits being built or assembled. Over 50% of the products are in stock in our warehouse ready to assemble.
Other Ways You Can Help
Can't help by grabbing in perks. No big deal. We'd appreciate you sharing this campaign to anyone you know who runs or works in high-risk industries such as transport, manufacturing, warehousing, security and construction.
