THE MOTIVATION
I am interested in doing to the body, what a cinematographer does to film. I am fascinated with the ability to control where, how, when, and for how long one sees a certain image in order to build tension and guide emotional reaction. And so...
THE WORK
I have made Underneath Where We Are- Presented by The Chocolate Factory Theater's Visiting Artist Program with support from the Dance and Theater Programs of the New York State Council on the Arts and the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, and created, in part, with a space grant from BAX/Brooklyn Arts Exchange.
FUNDRAISING GOAL $3000
Expenses for this creative process(two-years worth of rehearsal rentals and dancer rehearsal pay) have come out of my own small pinhole pocket and now with the production around the corner, there are many collaborators to pay. Those collaborators have a priceless, exceptional talent that deserves reward.
They perform my work
They light my work
They enhance my work
They give my work sound.
They make my vision a reality, so we can share it with you.
