Short Summary
This ~15-minute short film takes place during the 1960s, following a rural farmer, Randolph. His and his wife's life on an isolated farm means repetition in their respective roles. One night, Randolph discovers an otherworldy creature in his barn. Upon interacting with the creature, its healing qualities broaden Randolph's outlook on life and his relationship with Asenath. The specific style of this time and place has pushed this team toward a film we are passionate about albeit ambitious.
Our crew is comprised of student filmmakers at UCF with a shared interest in telling stories. Our passion for filmmaking unites us in creating the best film possible. Director Isaac Shilling's interest in the story presented by collaborator Jake Dudley initiated this team's work in adapting a compelling screenplay and beginning preproduction. Our passion for this story and its ambitious scale necessitates our need for funding. We are asking for your help to best tell this story in an entertaining way.
This is Isaac Shilling's second film at UCF, and his first with a planned budget. To view his previous no-budget short film, Caught In The Storm, click here:
