ADDITIONAL TARGET OF £300 SO WE CAN PUT UP SOME OF OUR AMAZING CREW AND SAVE THEM A KILLER COMMUTE EACH DAY! PLEASE HELP!
Tea for Two is a quirky, British comedy that's a throwback to such classics as Fawlty Towers but with a modern, cinematic telling.
The story centres around the eccentric Jim & Alice, a long-retired couple running a seemingly idyllic village tea shop. When the empty shop finally gets some young customers, the couple's peculiar behaviour ensures it's more than just a pot of tea and slice of cake that gets served...

Tea For Two is a character-driven story with elements of mystery and romance, that echoes a classically British comedy style with an ambitious and modern telling. It's definitely a film you're going to have to watch twice!

Who's putting the kettle on?
That would be me! I'm Mark Brennan, the writer and director of Tea For Two and thank you for reading this far! Alongside my co-conspirator Carl Austin, we've made several low-to-no budget short films under the banner of Pork Chop Pictures, but we really need your help with our next one.
As you can see from this snap of me smelling Carl's hair, we've had a lot of fun putting our films together over the last few years. With stories involving cannibal housemates, holographic projections of an office crush, mysterious chance encounters on a park bench to name a few.
Our most recent short comedy SoulMatrix cost just £40, and some of that included sandwiches for lunch! Yet despite that ridiculous budget we were able to produce a film we're proud of which you can see below. (It's about 8.5 minutes so if you're at work, browsing on your mobile and due a toilet break, now is a great time to take it.)
You will see from our target, however, we're aiming a lot higher with Tea For Two.
While our films so far have been well-received wherever they've been shown, picking up numerous awards and fantastic reviews along the way, now is the time for us to step up to the next level and show audiences of what we're really capable when given the opportunity. Believe me when I say we're desperate to do just that!
To that end, we've been working closely with the superb Mini Productions and our Executive Producer James Webber (a hugely successful film-maker himself), to bring Tea For Two to life. They have put together a team the likes of which I have never had the chance to work with and I truly need your help to now take that chance.
The Team

Mark Brennan (@MrMarkBrennan) - Writer/Director
This handsome chap you've already met. Believe it or not I'd never had a cream tea before working on this project and I am now HOOKED. I promise you filming in a tea shop will not be too much of a distraction for me...

April Kelley (@april__kelley) - Producer
April is a Producer at Mini Productions and has been incredible in her work putting this project together. She's also the one who introduced me to the cream tea so I trust her judgement completely in all things, now and forever.

Sara Huxley (@Sara_Huxley) - Producer
Sara is the other half of Mini Productions and will be our Producer on set during the production. She is also our resident cake expert so will be making sure there is plenty at hand for all of us during the shoot. IMPORTANT JOB.

James Webber (@FingercuffJIM) - Executive Producer
James, the aforementioned hugely talented and successful film-maker whose previous short film Driftwood was recently screened on Channel 4 and long-listed for a BAFTA. He also worked with Mini Productions on his latest short film Soror, starring Rosie Day, Sian Breckin, James Alexandrou and Kate Dickie, which looks set for similar success.

Lorenzo Levrini (@LorenzoLevrini) - Director of Photography
Lorenzo is our superb cinematographer who has worked on both feature films and shorts, including James' stunningly beautiful Soror. His cinematic vision is really what will help elevate Tea For Two to the next level.

Carl Austin (@carljamm) - Editor
The other half of Pork Chop Pictures, fantastic editor and special effects wiz, as well as Best Man at my wedding. He loves cooking, the gym and after the shoot will go free to a good home after finding himself on the perks list.
Which reminds me...
The Perks
We've got some great rewards lined up for anyone who is able to back us. From HD online screeners of the film, DVD/Blu-Ray copies, posters, official Tea For Two mugs to IMDB credits as well as credits on the film, high tea with some of the team and even a portrait from our wonderful artist Merlin Porter - whose incredible work you can check out at the links below!
Please check out the full list top right of the page and help where you can!
Every penny of funds raised will go towards direct costs of the film’s production.
If you're not able to contribute you can still be involved and help us enormously. We need as many people as possible to know about our film, and you can help us by sharing the campaign link on any and all social media platforms, tell you friends, family, colleagues, postman, neighbours, people on your commute, the pizza delivery guy, your favourite barista - ANYONE and EVERYONE!
The Dream
If that sounds desperate, it's meant to. We've waited a long time for the right project to test our mettle. With Tea For Two and your help we believe this is it.
Myself and the team would love to hear from you if you have any questions or ideas you think might help us. You can email us at info@porkchoppictures.com or find us on Twitter/Facebook.
Thank you for your time, and wish us luck!
All the best
Mark
