Synopsis
Have you ever
lost touch with someone, either because of something they did, or what you did,
and wanted so badly to reconnect? That sense of longing, of loneliness, the
disappointment for a failure on your part. These feelings engulf the main
character of our short film, Telephone.
It’s about an
old man, a former family man, and a night he spends alone in his run down home
a week before Christmas. He battles alcoholism and depression, self-medicating
his way through his dull life. While trying to clean up his mess around his
home, he comes across some old photos of his children. This sets him off to try
and reconnect with his lost children by calling his son almost to no avail.
Throughout the
night he tries harder and harder, opening up more and more about his past, what
he did to deserve the life he has. He tries to go out and socialize with a gas
station cashier, but even she is put off by him.
Why? What did this man do to deserve
the situation he is in?

Why Help?
This film is
very important to all of us. This story has something that almost anyone can
relate to, as every family has a black sheep. We want to help people understand
what it’s like to be in that position, and show the world how the viewer’s
perspective of a character can shift so dramatically.
We want to
make this as artistically pleasing as possible. If you give us a chance, we
will not disappoint you. We are all experienced filmmakers with a passion for
what we do.
Thank you for your time and we hope to hear from you in some
way, shape or form!
