The 1st Annual PIPD is an MSR event that Bizlanthropy is organizing to achieve 4 objectives to aid Meninadança in their Changing Minds Program and Project 116.
This event will take place in May 2014 over 2 weeks.
- In week 1, at the Pink House in Medina, Natalie and Megyn will bring their 17-years of passion into dance and teach a number of hip-hop-style dances to the girls there.
- In week 2, Meninadança will have organized a week full of performances in communities along the BR-116 in a “mini-tour” as part of their Changing Minds Program, so that the girls can perform their new dance skills.
The four outcomes of this event will be substantial:
Outcome #1:
![]()
By this event taking place, most importantly, the girls of The Pink House will gain confidence, and will have an extremely powerful 2-week outlet of dance expression. They also get to dance with pro’s from the U.S. and feel like superstars by performing in their “Mini Tour” PIPD. How cool, huh? Total empowerment – and we plan to repeat it every year.
Outcome #2:
![]()
While PIPD is occurring, we will record the whole two-weeks in order to produce a documentary to Eligh's music. Meninadança can use this so that they can hold viewings of it in BR-116 communities to keep strengthening further the local cultural impact of their Changing Minds Program.
Outcome #3:
![]()
Meninadança can also share a trailer of this documentary to their followers on social media, to gain more subscribed advocates into Project 116.
Outcome #4:
![]()
Bizlanthropy will work with Eligh to share the trailer of this documentary with as many people in the music realm as possible, hopefully inspiring thousands of music-lovers to become advocates to Project 116 for Meninadança.
We will repeat the PIPD each year, to progressively intensify the effect of these positive, musically-driven outcomes for Meninadança's mission.

Note = * This is a PRIVATELY ORGANIZED FUNDRAISER for the 100% benefit of registered NGO Meninadança. All proceeds, less Indiegogo fees and promotional costs, will be passed straight to Meninadança. "The Bizlanthropy MSR Foundation" is the registered, working name of our California-based organization which is in the process of forming and filing for 501(c)(3) exempt status.
Meninadança is a non-governmental organization (NGO) in Brazil whose team’s objective is to combat at many levels, daily, the wide-spread cultural acceptance of the sexual exploitation and abuse of young girls in communities
along the BR-116 highway.
The BR-116 highway is a 2,819 mile-long highway in which there are over 262 places places where young girls are sold for sex. The details of this utter nightmare are in Matt Roper's book, "Highway to Hell", co-founder of Meninadança.
The bright and amazing ways in which Meninadança are positively meeting their objectives noted above are listed as follows:
-
First, they have set up their first safe
house serving over 60 at-risk girls and victims in the community of Medina. It is called the “Meninadança Pink House”,
and Meninadança literally means “girl-dance” in Portuguese. Here, The team provides dance therapies and
other girl-specific therapies to help these girls discover their inner beauty and face a brighter future without fear.
-
Second,
they are running their “Changing Minds Program” in which outreach is
done
by Meninadança in the form of open air dance
performances, street art, and more, in order to constantly make statements to
the communities along the BR-116 to treat and see these girls differently and
challenge a cultural acceptance of violence and sexual exploitation.
-
Third,
they have just launched an advocacy program, “Project 116”, in which
Meninadança will release periodic calls-to-action to Project 116 subscribers to handwrite pre-drafted-letters in Portuguese to influential officials locally that have the ability to change
policy, so that abusers and exploiters are punished, and more cases of sexual exploitation are
investigated as hardly none are. They have 143 subscribers now.
-
Fourth Meninadança
has a lot of activities launched to start to make progress in changing the
atrocities that occur as a result of sexual exploitation of young girls. Their fourth
initiative is to train and resource individuals and organizations to
help them achieve their objectives. That’s where we come in.

Note: "Bizlanthropy" is the registered, working name of our California-based organization which is in the process of forming and filing for 501(c)(3) exempt status.
Bizlanthropy was founded by a
group of world-traveling young human rights advocates and music lovers that are
living around the world in California, Canada, New York and Amsterdam.
We coined a practice called “Musician’s Social
Responsibility” or “MSR”, in the hopes that we could work with professionals in
the music industry that will practice MSR, and partner with us in achieving
sustainable progress with organizations like Meninadança.
Our first MSR practitioners are:
- Natalie, a highly recognized professional back up dancer in the EDM world who has
danced for every major EDM artist. She has used her connections through dance
to tour with Calvin Harris, deadmau5, Zeds Dead and many more.
-
Eligh,
a hip-hop artist in California who is known for his collaboration in The Grouch
and Eligh and The Living Legends.
These artists that we work with, in one way or
another, are coming together in partnership with Meninadança to deliver The
1st PIPD.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT.
Much Love, Meninadança and Bizlanthropy teams.
