Who am I & Why am I doing this?

I'm both an artist and a Tarot reader, so I've decided to combine them and do something out of the ordinary. Bringing something new to the world of Tarot because I like being different :)

I've been drawing for as long as I've been able to hold a pen. I've also practiced as a witch for over 20 years, and I've done divination for almost as long.

So I'm making a Tarot deck with insects and arachnids as the characters and using my own drawings as the illustrations for the deck.

What I Need & What You Get

Self-publishing a deck takes money, and this is how I've chosen to get them :) I've created some fun perks for you so you get something back for your contribution. You'll find that the perks get bigger with an increased amount but you get something regardless of your contribution.

Risks & Challenges

I've chosen to self-publish this deck since I don't have the connections to publishers needed to get it published. I'm running this campaign to be able to get them printed, so I hope you'll help me out. If I don't reach the goal amount, the funds will be used to print a smaller series of decks. So those of you who have the deck in your perks will still get it. If I receive more money than my goal, it will go towards outsourcing some of the marketing. I prefer to do the creative stuff :)

I’m doing my best to use insects that I can associate with the suits, the elements they represent, and the individual cards. I also try to get them to do something related to the meaning of each card. This isn't always easy and makes some cards take longer than others.

Another challenge is my chronic pain. It causes fatigue and I have to be very particular about what I use my limited energy on. If I'm going to be able to complete this deck within my desired deadline, I'll have to focus on that and put some other things on the shelf for a while. Which means less money coming in.
