The Film
‘The Border’ was enacted by the higher authority to keep peace among the people; creating a literal divide in society, those with opposing values were separated. Whilst questioning where she belongs, Olivia finds herself standing in the way, of a group of rebels who want to over throw the system.
Our aim is to showcase elements of modern society, incorporating current and new laws, to create a world that feels both familiar and uncertain. This story feels relevant now more than ever, as we edge ever-closer to a dystopian wasteland.
About Us
Our team has been close friends since we first met each other at the start of our university film degree back in September 2014 and most of us have been working on projects together in other teams throughout our learning here at university. We are made up of producer Claudia Simeao, writer and director Ellen Rayner, cinematographer Fraser Pitkethly and editor and camera assistant Sohaib Moussouni. Claudia has produced many of her films throughout university and also completed work experience in the industry with a producer. Ellen enjoys writing and is currently completing a module in scriptwriting, and has also written and directed most of her short films. Throughout the last few years Sohaib has edited projects, and had a passion for editing. Fraser has worked in the lighting and camera department throughout his time at university and he enjoys experimenting, in his free time, to discover new ways of showing things.
Your Help
Your financial support will allow us to make sure our creative idea is as good as it can be in order to make our final year film the best one we have made so far. Your help will go towards:
- food and drinks during shooting periods for actors and extras
- props and extra clothing we need to amplify the production design of the film
- submission fee's to as many film festivals we hope the film will be successful at
- fee’s towards locations that will help add to our set design ideas!
Your financial backing will be greatly appreciated and if you can see the perks and rewards we have planned on the right, you will be thanked, however big or small donation you make.
Other Ways You Can Help
