About the Film:

The Bottom Line is a project that celebrates disabled military veterans, fathers and sons, and women that kick butt.

  • Hello, my name is Steven Mitchell. My father, Steve Mitchell, was an actor who played cowboys, cops, and bad guys in scores of film and television programs. And, like many actors, from able seaman Spencer Tracy, to General Jimmy Stewart, my dad was a veteran. He was a sailor who served on destroyers and PT-boats in World War II and the Korean Conflict.
  • In his later years when his health began to fail and he couldn't continue acting, we decided to write together. The Bottom Line is the result of our partnership.
  • My dad was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He once told me it helped to ease some of his pain by being around veterans who had survived such tremendous traumas and yet could still face life with strength, courage, and humor after enduring so much.

The Bottom Line is an action-packed comedy that honors military veterans like my dad and celebrates life. My father, Steve Mitchell, loved to entertain people. I want to continue that legacy by bringing this project to life.

Our Goal:

The Bottom Line is a comedy/action film that celebrates disabled military veterans, fathers and sons, and women that kick butt!

We will be hiring disabled veterans in front of and behind the camera. We will be donating a portion of the campaign and final movie project to The Disabled American Veterans.

We are seeking help with with preproduction costs. Our Indiegogo goal is $25,000. This money is critical for our preliminary work to attract talent and investors. We have made the decision to make this project that celebrates disabled veterans for as little money as possible. Many of us will be working for little or no money. We need your help!!!! We can't do this alone!

The Impact:

  • We want to extend gratitude to our veterans by hiring disabled veterans as actors and crew members.
  • We want to provide good, fun and humorous entertainment.
  • We want to celebrate that disabled veterans have the right stuff and its a big mistake to count them out.
