About the Director
Tobias King is a Chicago native currently living in New York City where he moved 13 years ago to pursue his dream of becoming a filmmaker and actor. Faced with life's challenges he was forced to temporarily put his plans on hold and make adjustments in his own life to manage. Tobias, never giving up on his dreams or life, sought understanding both spiritually as well as psychologically to help him navigate through these challenges. As life often imitates art, Tobias, nearly 13 years later in retrospect, realized that through his understanding and journaling of these experiences that this serendipitous bit of irony was for his benefit and has helped shape the types of film this visionary now writes and wants to develop for film. With applied psychology, logic, faith, and purposeful guiding light, Tobias has been able to overcome and now with this understanding wants to develop film and literature that's both insightful, engaging, and highly entertaining with the hope of helping others to understand life's challenges and to make proper adjustments as the manifest.
About the Campaign
The Boy In Our Band is a short film for my thesis however I plan on expanding it into a feature film. I believe that this film indirectly reflects my own inspirations and changes in my life and I'd like to bring that same inspiration to others through this film and other King Tobias Productions. Contributing to this campaign will bring to life a long sought after dream of mine with the hopes it will motivate others to pursue their dreams regardless of the challenge.I'm hoping to raise $3000 to fund location costs and permits, transportation and food costs for my talent and crew. Every dollar contributed will bring me closer to making this film a reality no matter the amount. THANK YOU!
