New. Refreshing. Tidy. Compact. That's the C1 Computer Case, and that's what we want to bring to your desk. A case that doesn't compromise on hardware compatibility, yet saves you space in an age where desk space is a premium.

Our product is currently in the prototype phase. This IndieGoGo campaign aims to raise the funds needed to produce prototypes for testing purposes, as well as to send to hardware reviewers. When it finishes, we will be following it up with a campaign to do a production run of an estimated 1,000+ cases.

We're shaking up the computer case industry with our useful features for gamers, hardware enthusiasts and industry professionals:

1. A short VGA, HDMI and branching power cable come with the case for reduced cable clutter. Less mess, less stress.


2. Rotated motherboard points the IO ports downwards for tidier cables. The motherboard is also raised up into the case to allow cables to go beneath it.
   


3. Carry handle makes transporting the case easy, from desk to desk or room to room.


4. The case has a very small footprint, leaving you with a much more pleasing work area, for all that important stuff you do.


5. The case has space for GPU's up to 10.5", as well as:
   
   •  mATX or ITX motherboard
   • ATX PSU
   • Two 3.5? drives
   • Two 2.5? drives
   • GPU’s up to 10.5?
   • Low profile CPU coolers
   • Four 120mm fans
   • Water Cooling: 1X 120mm cooler and 1X 240mm cooler can be used, at the same time. Water coolers will not fit if an mATX motherboard is used.

• Production of four prototype cases: $2,000

That's the bare minimum for what we need to keep Crono Labs moving forward, but we're hoping to beat that goal, in order to have funds for:

• Marketing
• Further iterations to the final design.
  

When you back our project, your contributions will be used to carry out the above. If we go past our goal, the surplus will also be used accordingly; we will be able to produce more prototypes to have reviewed, and you will enable us to run a larger marketing campaign.

Q: What monitors can I mount onto the case?
A: You can mount any monitor with a VESA mount to the case. Monitors over size 27" might be an issue in terms of stability.

Q: What are the dimensions of the case?
A: The case is 446mm X 270MM X 122mm (L x H x W)

Q: How much will the finished product cost?
A: We aim to sell our product for $150.

Q: How can I get the finished product?
A: Our finished product will be available to back on Kickstarter at the end of 2015. People who select the Discount Reward will receive a discount on the finished product.

Crono Labs is composed of two Irish youths, Oliver Burke (17) and Ruairi McNicholas (18). We both have a vested interest in technology and began using computers at a young age. IT is our passion, and our love of hardware began when we built our own computers.


Our story begins with F1 in Schools, the worlds largest technology challenge for students. It challenges teams of 3-6 to design, build and race a miniature Formula 1 car. Of 20,000 teams around the world, we were one of 39 to reach the World Finals in Abu Dhabi.

We intend to replicate this success with Crono Labs. We have the skills and experience needed to create a truly useful and unique product. But like the F1 challenge, we rely on peoples goodwill and interest in our product to get it off the ground.

Web Summit is a technology-industry conference held in Dublin, Ireland, and is considered to be one of the best tech conferences in the world, boasting past speakers such as Elon Musk. Every year, start-ups can apply to attend, and are given a booth at the event if they are chosen to participate.


We're delighted to say that we will be attending Web Summit 2015 as a start-up company! We will be showcasing the C1 Case for a day, and spending the other two submerging ourselves in the Summits rich variety of speakers and exhibitions.
