Hello, if you were/are interested in contributing at this point (to the physical release stretch goal), go to my website to donate.
Hello, my name is Nathan Hathaway Adams, and I seeking help to finish the cast recording of my musical adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft's novella, "The Call of Cthulhu."
In my Senior year of college, I completed a one act musical adaptation of “The Call of Cthulhu.” Following graduation, I began to work on the original cast recording. Significant tracking work has already taken place, and I hope to release it this Winter. However, I need funds for both the mastering process and for creating graphics that will accompany the release.
I have studied the traditions and art of American Musical Theatre since I was a young teenager, and I can honestly say few things make me feel more alive than great music in the midst of gripping drama. In my attempt to imitate and build upon the great masters, such as Sondheim, Herman, & Hammerstein, I am seeking to give people the gift that I have received through musical theatre.
This desire has pushed me to record the entirety of the musical on CD. Songs & script. I firmly believe in the performing arts of music and theatre. I want people to be able to experience it in as full a way as possible. Your gifts can help make this a reality. The posted budget will cover the costs of mastering and design, but every dollar given beyond that increases the ability to create the best possible product.
And as with any good crowdfunding campaign, there are perks! One dollar will get you a download of the finished album. There are also pdf's of some of the songs available, as well as the full score. One of the perks of offering you perks is that it gives me an excuse to tidy and print the score. So please remember if you select that option, some of your money will go to printing. The top perk is a commissioned work by me. (You can check out some of my music at https://soundcloud.com/nathan-hathaway-adams )
Please spread this around to anyone you think would be interested. No gift it too small, and every time you tell someone about this is a help.
My name is Nathan Hathaway Adams, and I approve this message.
