Have you been in a situation where you have low light/slow shutter speed and a tripod cannot be used? In 2010 i found myself in Cordova Alaska on assignment for Frommer's book Alaska Day by Day. my assignment required that I do a lot of hiking up mountains, thru forest, on the water, in kayaks,and in inflatable skiffs. The editor wanted me to shoot in raw at the lowest ISO I could use. as you know the lower the ISO the better the resolution, so the problem I encountered was shooting at ISO 100 using a telephoto lens with a very slow shutter speed. I used a tripod whenever I could, but there many times when a tripod wouldn't work, like standing in a kayak , standing on a log in a lake, and on an unlevel slope. I had to stabilize my camera for low light,slow shutter speeds.
One day it came to me that if I could attach a chain to my camera, put my foot on the chain , lift up until the chain was taut, I would have a steady, level platform to take low light/ slow shutter speed shots at ISO 100. The chain pod was born. It adjust in seconds , stabilizes my camera, and the photos come out clear and sharp. My editor loved my shots. i would like every photographer to have this tool.
With the help from every one I can produce this photography tool so every photographer will have one in their camera bag.

What I would like to do is produce the chain pod for under $10.00 so every one can buy one. The money raised is going to go to advertisement , $500.00 a month for three months. Bolts 5000., split rings 5000, . 40,000 ft of chain. Employes to assemble the chain pods in the USA . Printing and packaging.For every $10.00 you will receive one chain pod. For $20.00 you will receive 2 chain pods . for $50.00 You will receive 5 chain pods and the knowledge of knowing you have made a dream come true for all photographers that want to buy the chain pod in the future. For those that cannot fund the project, you help in networking the project will get my humble gratitude.
