Synopsis:
After experiencing a devastating loss, each member of a household goes through their own personal processes of grief. Day to day, the family grows further apart as each begins to isolate. Dad spends his nights in front of the TV. Mom spends her nights trying to do dishes. Quinn spends her nights running away from her pain. From the point of view of a ghost, we are spectators to their struggle and healing.
Director’s Statement:
“The Days is a story about loss. The voids that it leaves, and the grip that it holds on people. It’s about the sadness that washes over you and deepens the holes left by death, and how it tries to drown you. More importantly, though, The Days is a story about strength and perseverance– pulling yourself up with everything, whether you have strength to spare or it’s all you have left. When your own strength isn’t enough, it’s in the people around us that we find those extra hands to lift us
In 2023, Tommy Stella wrote and independently published The Days as a comic book. I found the book through mutual friends, and was left in awe of the heavy hitting, yet gentle story that Tommy had written into those pages. With the help of BA Roth’s incredible pen and ink art, the book and its story hung heavy on my mind for weeks. On a whim, I reached out to Tommy with the idea of adapting his work, and was met with beaming support.
From the beginning, Tommy insisted that I made the film something of my own. I hope that through the collaboration between myself and my crew, we can create a film that is truly special and representative of each of us.”
What will this money do?
The money will help fund everything we do in this production! Funding will cover a variety of costs, including location fees, craft services to feed our crew, transportation to get our cast and crew to set, as well as production and costume design.
If we reach our goal, then every aspect of the film will be possible! If we are fortunate to exceed our goal, this will allow for more resources to our craft services, costume design, and production design to realize our team's vision even further. Along with that, additional funds after production will be used to cover any fees when submitting The Days to various film festivals across the country (and maybe even the world!) in the case of even more funds being left over after the film's production and festival run, all remaining money will be donated to various charities and organizations.
- Provide crafty for cast and crew.
- Production design to make the set look authentic to the comic book.
- Transportation to get to the location we need.
- Distribution to submit to film festivals.
- Location we are getting is through AirBnB to achieve the look of the comic book.
We are working hard to make this film come to life about grief that we have all dealt with at one point or another. Even one dollar would be a great help to us. Please highly consider donating to The Days!
Producer Statements

The Days is an incredible story about the loss of a loved one that brings down the whole family. But the son is still in the picture but as a ghost that follows the family around. I think this story tells about the depth of losing someone close to you and still feeling their presence around you. I enjoy the collaboration with Tommy the creator of the comic book that we based this film off. Working together to create a great film that showcases real events that we all go through. The director, Cameron, has a fantastic plan to execute this film and I hope you agree that this is a great film to donate your money to.

The Days offers a profound representation of the grieving process following the loss of a loved one. It thoughtfully encapsulates the complexities of this natural and personal experience. I have full confidence that our talented and dedicated team will carefully and respectfully bring this message to life, ensuring its significance is conveyed in its entirety.

Delicately and with a fresh style, The Days explores the universal human condition of grief. Adapted from an acclaimed graphic novel, director Cameron M has gone above and beyond translating the story to a screenplay. I was thrilled to be brought on this unique production, and through our small budget, reliant on the voluntary donations of kind people, we can graft this onto the screen and reach a wider audience. Seeing this film will impact viewers who are struggling to come to terms with loss themselves, and it would not be possible without the gracious contributions of people like you. A small donation will go a long way, ensuring our crew is supported as we work hard to deliver this hopeful, forward-thinking piece to the big screen.

The Days perfectly captures the nonlinear nature of grief. Confronting loss is a notoriously difficult thing to do, and by sharing this story it creates a sense of familiarity, knowing you are not alone. Being able to capture the beauty in this comic and produce it as a film takes hard work, a dedicated team, and support from anywhere we can obtain it. With even a small donation, our incredible team and tremendous director Cameron Montgomery can make this comic come to life. This way, we can share the story of grief and belonging through a new and beautiful lens.
