The Digital Plan
My mission: Creating good strategy to use websites, social media, email, design, and video for positive change. This is my passion and I've helped create hundreds of plans for organizations and political candidates over the last eight years, including:
- The 2008 and 2012 Obama campaigns, focusing on battleground states as Digital Training Director
- Senate, Congressional, and Governor's races

- Presidential Inaugural Committee’s National Day of Service
- Rainforest Action Network and allies
I frequently get asked by friends and allies if there is a template for digital plans. This book is designed to help folks understand the right questions to ask to create the plan they need.

The Impact
Right now as we speak there is a project or progressive campaign that won't get the momentum it needs or they'll find themselves paying too much to consultants for too little digital strategy and output in return:
- I don't want to have to tell another campaign for good in the world there isn't a great template.
- I don't want to see another good campaign pay too much to a consultant when they could answer some of their own questions after $20 for this book and a few hours reading.
- Having written and coached others on hundreds of plans I want to get that knowledge to more people.
- This is about empowering others with knowledge to run good campaigns, launch beautiful projects, and win on progressive issues!
The Challenge
Here's the real story. I've been working on a few drafts of sections over the last 3 years. But it's hard to set aside the time for this passion project when my team at work or a side client needs me. I need you to be my client, I need you to chip and be part of the community I'm accountable.
- All of what the book needs are the tactics I've coached on.
- I need the support and a little acountability pressure from you.
- WIth that we'll get this book in the hands of campaigns by September. Just in time for final political campaign and GOTV planning.
- But it will be just as practical for NGOs and campaigns for months to come.
