We are taking the Dying Swan on Tour - first Toronto, then the World!
We are a community based, small, passionate, highly motivated group of Carnival lovers and we are on a mission!
The Dying Swan represents the epitome of Mas and Caribbean Theatre and we want the world to see what Trinidad and Tobago has done. We would like to bring this mas to Toronto this summer for guest appearances.
We need your help!
We need to raise $20,000USD to cover all expenses for the team of six people to travel up from Port of Spain, Trinidad. We are asking for you kind donations to help us make this happen. The funds will be used to cover: Transportation (flights, in-city transportation), food, lodging (for 6 people for about 10 days), equipment rental and storage space.
We will also be approaching potential sponsors to help us cover these costs.
We are approaching large venues to host the Costume: Harbourfront, the CNE, Ontario Place, Ontario Science Centre, The Royal Ontario Museum. If you are able to connect us with other suitable venues, please contact us at: TheDyingSwan@Outlook.com

Who are we?
Our team is Nathalie Taghaboni, Oswald McLean, Austin Fido and Ian Royer and we believe the world needs to see this live!
Why are we doing this?
Anyone who caught even a glimpse of this 2016 Costume knows that it is unlike anything we have seen in a very long time. It has taken the spirit of original, traditional Mas and served it up fresh and new. Designed by Peter Minshall and portrayed by Jha-whan Thomas, The Dying Swan. Ras Nijinsky in Drag as Pavlova was unexpected as it arrived on stage at the Trinidad and Tobago Carnival King and Queen Competition in February 2016. It silenced the crowd with its simplicity and rewrote Mas history.
