Hi, I’m Benjamin Friant, and I’ve been a professional freestyle scooter rider for 18 years. I've always been passionate about water sports, especially pumpfoiling since I discovered it four years ago. Coming from the scooter world, I’ve constantly experimented with mixing my sport with other water activities, like wakesurfing and kitesurfing. While fun, they often felt more like gadgets than real innovations—until I attached a handlebar to a wooden plank with a foil underneath.
Everything changed.
At that moment, I had never foiled before, yet I was able to pump on my very first try. That’s unheard of! Most people take months—sometimes years—to learn pumpfoiling. But with the handlebar, I was in total control, making it safer and easier. That’s when the Foilscoot was born—the Pump Foil Scooter.
Foilscoot takes the difficulty out of learning to pumpfoil while still delivering the same thrill. The handlebar gives you instant stability and control, allowing you to learn faster and ride safer. And if you ever want to try traditional pumpfoiling, you can simply remove the handlebar in seconds!
The Kickstarter Success & What’s Next
Our Kickstarter campaign was a huge success, and the first production is already underway—shipping even sooner than expected! But since Kickstarter campaigns are limited to 60 days, we are now launching Indiegogo to fund the next production batch.
The goal? To build enough stock so that Foilscoot can soon be sold directly on Shopify.
