MMM Films/MMM Film
Finance International is a Vancouver-based company engaged in the production
of independent feature films, documentaries and television production. It is
headed by award winning journalist-screenwriter-producer and filmmaker R. Paul Dhillon, who has produced and
directed a dozen documentaries and television series.
MMM Films released
its first feature film SWEET AMERIKA, a
cross-cultural drama set around the events of 9/11, in Canada and US in 2008-2009,
which was written, produced and directed by Dhillon.
After having produced a 13-part music Doc-series and 8 hour long documentaries for national broadcast in Canada over the last few years, Dhillon is returning to feature directing with a fun-filled romantic comedy The Fusion Generation, which he describes as a party film.
MMM Films has raised more than 60 percent of the budget for the film and need a little more to make the magic happen for the low budget indie but which has Bollywood stars like veteran Gulshan Grover (acted in over 200 Bollywood and international productions including Sweet Amerika), Punjabi film star Aman Dhaliwal and Canadian film-stage star Anita Majumdar (Midnight's Children and Murder Unveiled). We also have another legend in Balinder Johal (Beeba Boys and Heaven On Earth) playing the key role of the Mother. The Fusion Generation is a comedy that is close to Dhillon's heart because it's about love, partying and joys of youth!
The funding from Indigogo campaign will be combined with our privately raised funds to create a major motion picture that will release internationally and in three version in the big film market in India.
People who contribute will all get an invite to the Premiere in their City. Their names will appear in the film's end credits and special booklet that we will create to market and promote the film. There will be some extra goodies that we will announce at a later date.
If we don't reach our full goal - the funds raised will still go towards the production of the film and all those who contribute will be given the same perks listed above.
Out goal with this campaign is to build momentum for the film and make a very worthy project with some great talent that has a built-in an audience around the world.
Surely making a feature film is a tough task and getting it out to people to see is even tougher but this genre of film travels well in all cultures and continents. We will have three versions of the film - English (original) and Hindi and Punjabi, which have a large theatrical market in countries like Australia, UK, North America, Middle East and of course India. So we already have theatrical distribution for the film in those markets
For us, the summer of 2016 is an exciting adventure and we want everyone to join us in making this dream into reality. And everyone can contribute by hyping our campaign, telling their friends about it and you never know - you might just be an extra or get a walk-on part in the film. There is no business like SHOW BUSINESS! GET INVOLVED!!
