The Ghost Lights is the culmination of a dream- our first feature film, made during the most challenging year of our lives, during a pandemic, with a crew of 4 people, 10 days, over 1,000 miles from Dallas to Terlingua and back, a new-born at home, and lots of coffee.

This is our dream come true. For over a decade, after honing our craft through short films and in the field, we've finally realized our goal of producing a feature film. You can help us cross the finish line.
We made this under incredible challenges. A pandemic that required Covid-19 testing for cast and crew, careful cleaning, and constant vigilance. Our director, Timothy Stevens, had a 5 month old baby at home. Production was paid for out of pocket. In order to keep costs low and minimize risk of exposure, we committed to an insane 10-day schedule (most shoot for 30) with only 4 people (most have 20-100) on set most days, including cast. It was crazy! Would we do it again? Hard to say. Was it worth it? Of course! Now, you can help all this hard work come into the light (pun-intended).
Challenges
Our goal is to have the film totally finished by mid-April 2021 in order meet several important film festival deadlines. That's just ONE MONTH AWAY! We are racing to the finish and every contribution matters.
What if we exceed our goal?
Production for the film was paid for out of pocket from personal savings and any extra money raised will go towards paying that money back.
