ABOUT THE PROJECT
THE GROVES is an upcoming independent horror film being produced by South Australian based filmmakers, Freeze Frame Pictures, in association with Swoopcam Aerial Photography and Film Production.
We aim to make a film that will intrigue viewers with its psychological and haunting story set against a unique location.
The film is written by Dion Cavallaro and San Quach. Dion will also be directing and producing alongside Paul Evans Thomas and Cain Harrip under the trio's production company, Freeze Frame Pictures.
Freeze Frame are best known for their films THE MUSEUM PROJECT (2016), STAY HIDDEN (2017) and BENEATH THE SURFACE (2018). Filmmaking is a passion held by each member of the Freeze Frame team, with a goal of making it a full time gig.

The cast, crew, script and locations for the film have all been finalised and principal photography is set to begin in the second half of 2018. Following completion and a cinema premiere, we aim to distribute the film digitally, allowing for a wide release.

Jamie is an original award-winning composer with an extensive list of credits including working with Greg McLean on the making of WOLF CREEK 2 (2013) and trailer for JUNGLE (2017). Jamie has previously collaborated with Freeze Frame Pictures to create the score for STAY HIDDEN (2017) and theme for BENEATH THE SURFACE (2018).
