As-Salamu Alaykum, Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim, this campaign is going forth because it will make it so easy if the community helps me. I will give all of my time and effort to writing, publishing, translating, lecturing, researching, etc. That is my wealth. Short Summary
Peace be upon you. My name is Luqman (Luis Jijon). I am known as Ustadh Luqman Al-Andalusi.
Over the past few years I have published three books now.
1) The Virtues of Ali ibn Abi Talib, 2) The Life and Marriage of Fatimah Al-Zahrah, 3) The 100 Jewels of Hadith - 100 Hadith to Memorize.
I am trying to get more funding to release many others books I have in the works and translations. All the books will be translated into Spanish as well. In Sha' Allah.
What We Need & What You Get
- Every contributor will have access to my lectures, lessons, books, etc for free.
The 7,000 is being used to pay the people involved in the making of the book, as well as the printing out of books in general.
- I have gone overseas to learn and teach. I can speak Arabic, English and Spanish. Alhamdulillah. This is my life, I take the research of the Prophet's family, peace be upon them all, very serious. This is no joke and I hope that Allah accepts my intentions to please Rasul Allah, Alayhimus Salatu was Salam.
The Impact
The teachings of the Ahlul Bayt, are most valuable to society. For example, Imam Husayn is known as the world's greatest revolutionary, Imam Hasan is known for his charity and his teachings of spirituality. Imam Jafar Al-Sadiq for example, was one of the teachers of many of the great Sunni Imams we all follow to this day.
One should be able to tell I am very serious, as I spend all of my free times within study, research and the like. Alhamdulillah. As I said, I have successfully already published three works and I hope to release as many or more than Imam Suyuti, Rahimahullah, who is one of my heroes.
Risks & Challenges
The challenges I always have are monetary. Alhamdulillah, I feel good from a spiritual point of view, yet I cannot deny the fact that these funds are needed and that I may get stressed or depressed if I cannot continue this work. May Allah forbid that. Ya Rabb!
Other Ways You Can Help
No worries, if one cannot contribute financially. In Islam we believe that our supplications to Allah are the real wealth. Our good deeds are our real worth, etc. It doesn't mean you cannot help, just because you don't send money. Please remember that. Your Duas are priceless and I thank you for all of them. Allahumma Amin.
