The main character Andie is a hopeless office worker who leads a miserable existence - she just wants to be able to get through each day so that she can earn enough money to escape. She works alongside the character Alison, who mocks and taunts her every time she is struggling. Andie will soon come to realise that all is not as it seems and that Alison will play a much more significant role in her life than she realises.

'The Layers' is a short drama written and produced by third year BA Contemporary Media Practice Students from the University of Westminster, intended to raise awareness about high-functioning depression.

As University of Westminster students, we are fortunate to receive industry standard equipment like the Black Magic Camera, although as a crew we have contributed funds towards our production, film-making is a costly process and WE NEED YOUR HELP! 

£4000 is our GOAL for the END of FEBRUARY. However, to reach this...WE NEED YOUR HELP to reach it... from a PENNY to A POUND or MORE... ANY CONTRIBUTION IS APPRECIATED!

The funding covers the location scouting, actors, cast and crew fees. With your valuable support, we intend to create a highly produced visual production which justifies our narrative, bring a light the stigma of depression.
