In “The Letter”, a young child’s Christmas wish to Santa Claus forces his parents to hold a mirror up to the cracks in their marriage.
Funding for this project will go toward paying the talented crew of filmmakers that we are assembling for this film. We are looking to cover:
- Talents’ salaries
- Crew salaries (Associate Producer, DP, Sound, Gaffer, Composer, PAs, Production Designer, MUA, 1st Assistant Camera, 1st Assistant Director)
- Crew lunch and craft services
- Camera, Lighting, and Production equipment rentals
- Festival Submissions
About the Producer / Co-Writer
Brian Lucear is a producer-writer-director and Executive Producer at Super Groovy Productions. A storyteller and avid film buff, Brian has pursued filmmaking since childhood. Brian is a graduate of The University of Georgia with a B.A. in Entertainment and Media Studies and a Minor in Film Studies.
As an independent filmmaker, Brian directed the live-action short film “Love Shot,” which won the “Georgia Spotlight Award” at the 2021 Up Next Film Festival. He is currently in post-production of his next short, “I Am a Gotd*mn Comedy Writer”, due to be released later this year.
Brian’s hope for The Letter is that it connects with audiences via its portrayal of a family unit building themselves stronger through their adversities.

Nadir Baaset is a Director and DP from Atlanta. He’s been a working filmmaker for the better part of a decade, telling stories for brands, for friends, and for himself. An artist since birth, he is driven by the way we filter and feel emotion through abstract mediums.
