The MilkCapper™
Every day millions of people drink milk with their coffee or tea and pour it into their cereal bowls. Every day millions of people are subjected to the torture of milk crusties. We are here to help. We have reinvented the milk cap.
Where did this idea come from?
For years, every time I poured milk into my cereal, coffee, or tea I would get pieces of dried milk falling into my bowl or cup. This has bothered me to no end and then I noticed others online dealing with the same problem. I figured there must be some way to pour milk without getting these dreaded milk crusties ruining my food and drinks. Over the past few months I have worked to redesign and reinvent the milk cap and with the help of Professor Randy Emert and his class; we have reengineered the milk cap from the ground up.
We now have a patent-pending design that allows the milk to flow freely from practically any gallon or carton without forming any dry spots or milk crusties. You can still buy the same brand of milk from your local grocery store or pharmacy and use the MilkCapper™ to keep your food and drinks fresh and safe.
What are the advantages to using the MilkCapper™?
- No more dried milk crusties!
- Dishwasher safe, FDA food grade plastic (high quality and durable)
- Your milk will pour and flow easier and smoother with the engineered spout
- Multiple colors (green, blue, and red) for different types of milk (1%, 2%, Whole milk)
- Fits virtually all milk, tea, and water gallons from all major brands
- Easy to screw on while being child safe from the the snap on cover
- Works with the original milk cap bottom piece still attached
- The pop-on top will keep your milk fresh and safe
How does it work?
The MilkCapper™ is quite ingenious in the way the spout pours out milk. It is designed with an inner lip at the perfect angle so no milk will ever accumulate and dry again to form dried milk crusties. Inside the cap is a sloped piece that allows it to snugly fit over all types of milk gallon containers. The threads have been perfectly engineered to work with virtually any milk jug as well. Finally, the top cover has a rounded snap piece that allows you to pop on and off the top without ever disrupting the threaded pourer. This makes the overall cap much safer and stronger while keeping the milk fresh.
The examples shown here are from a 3D printer, the professional plastic injection molded MilkCapper™ will be smoother, stronger, more polished, and have an even nicer aesthetic appeal.
Why should this succeed as an idea?
I have started two other companies, TuneTransfers.com, LLC and GearSprout. TuneTransfers.com, LLC was started in 2006 and still runs as a multimedia conversion company. We transfer your old video tapes to DVDs and hard drives. GearSprout is a game and music app development company. We have created nearly 10 iPhone and iPad apps. Some popular apps we have made are Symmetry HD, Mouth Mover, and TunePad.
What are the different colors about?
The three colors of the MilkCapper™ are for the universal 1%, 2%, and Whole milk types in the United States, each color indicates which type of milk it is. But you can still use any color with any type you would like.
Overview
While there are no real risks, there have been many challenges from the beginning. It took many months of planning, designing, prototyping, and manufacturing just to find the right kind of shape and design for the MilkCapper™ to get rid of milk crusties. We then had to find a way for the threads of our milk cap to work with all milk jugs, half gallons and gallons. After going through dozens of prototypes we have perfected our design and have the MilkCapper™ ready.
If and when the MilkCapper™ is funded we will have to wait a few days for payments to be processed. We will then be able to produce roughly 500 MilkCappers™ every day with the high-end plastic injection mold equipment we have available. We have all of the necessary contacts with various plastic producers and have the colors selected already. There should be no delays whatsoever in getting the MilkCapper™ out to all of you in either late December or early January.
We need your support and pledges to help us get the high grade FDA food safe plastic, steel/aluminum injection mold built and machined for our plastic to be injected into, and a shipping container to highlight the beautiful and aesthetic design of the MilkCapper™. We have calculated that it will be $5,000 to get all the required parts and pieces together to have the MilkCapper™ get off the ground. We need your help to do this and in exchange we are offering you the ability to never have dried milk crusties ruin your cereal, coffee, or tea again. Help us bring the MilkCapper™ to life.
