SHORT SUMMARY
The VCUarts Film class of 2018 is coming together to create a semester long short film. We worked tirelessly over the last semester to write a great script, and now it's time to produce it, but we can’t do it without your help. By donating any amount you can, you will be a part of not only a beautiful and fun piece of art, but also the educational pursuit of many students. With your contribution, we can bring our script to life!
WHAT WE NEED AND WHAT YOU GET
In order to raise the amount of money we're hoping to for our project, we need to get the word out to as many people as possible. We need your shares, likes, and of course your money, as well. With each donation tier you can get more and more swag for yourself! Donate now and get your hands on a fresh The Milkman movie poster, The Milkman t-shirt, and a digital and hard copy of The Milkman. On top of that, donate at our highest tiers and be immortalized in our credits as contributors, producers, and executive producers.
THE IMPACT
The pursuit of education and art has always been one of the most important parts of society and the advancement of ideas and cultures. What better way is there to impact your community than by funding something that will propagate growth in these fields? As artists, and as students, it would mean the world to us to have you help us create something that we wouldn’t be able to had it not been for your help.
And you can trust us! If our teaser video at the top of the page isn’t proof enough of our ability to make a fun and well produced short, you should know that we have many talented and successful filmmakers on our set. We have filmmakers doing things from starting clubs and organizing more than 5 shorts in 2 months, to working with academy award winning writers, producers, and actors. We even have filmmakers working locally doing freelance videography and trying to make a living doing what they love. So we can say with certainty that your investment is in very, very good hands.
RISKS AND CHALLENGES
We are planning on shooting in a real grocery store, casting quality actors, and renting the right equipment to bring our vision to the big screen. These things can add up and the more money we can raise, the better our film will be!
