The Moneymaker is a gritty crime drama set in the backdrop of the San Fernando Valley. This action-packed short film centers around Michael Bell, an aspiring actor seeking to get out of his other life as a debt collector for the mob. Faced with potentially deadly consequences, Michael must choose between obligations to his ruthless boss or taking one last chance to follow his dreams.
We plan to produce a film festival piece that will combine complex, realistic characters with fast-paced action sequences featuring dynamic fight choreography. To ensure that feeling of authenticity, we have cast Paul Pinckard, a talented young actor with over 20 years of martial arts experience. We have also secured a crew of industry veterans in every technical department, as well as an expert stunt team that will bring the action sequences to life.
We need $5,000 to secure camera packages, lights, and grip equipment. We have already raised the majority of the funding required to shoot the film. By reaching our fundraising goal on Indiegogo, we will then have the necessary funds to deliver feature quality production values that will ensure the film’s participation in top film festivals.
We are passionate about cinematic storytelling and specifically about action films, and we believe that The Moneymaker can become a meaningful contribution to this storied genre.
