Short Summary
Three up-and-coming documentarians have found themselves in a rut.
Designated to short travel vlogs and social media content. However, they may have found the tip to send them to the top.
Arriving in the town of Norwood, they seek out to uncover whether or not Norwood really is the towniest town; or if it's simply an urban legend. They quickly learn though, small towns are full of legends, and even more secrets.
Norwood is not the exception.
How to Help
It is our hope to have this short fully finished by the fall of 2023, and to then begin local screenings, as well as submitting it to festivals. We'll appreciate all the help we can get to make this happen.
As it stands, we're confident we can finish this film on time with an estimated budget of $2,500.00. With this budget, we believe we'll be able to complete the film while maintaining a positive work environment- as well as cover any unexpected production costs that may come up throughout the process. Afterwards, all surplus funding will be used to pay actors/crew, and the rest will be donated to a (TBD) New England based conservation group.
If you decide to help us on our endeavors, we promise you an acknowledgement in our credits.
For those willing to donate $100.00-199.00, we will even offer you an executive producer credit, as well as early access to the first cut.
$200.00 or will grant you a producer credit, early access to our first cut, as well as weekly check ins to keep you in the loop of our progress.
Our Mission
- Support local filmmakers in the Boston, and greater New England area
- Bring awareness to the conservation of MA parks, local wildlife, and general outdoor outreach programs
- Collaborate with local businesses throughout filming, and supply free advertisement to draw in new patrons
- Create a working network of local artists to continue creating films in the future
Risks & Challenges
We will be working in a guerrilla filmmaking style- which means relying on our ingenuity and collaboration to secure the shots required. Throughout filming, we will also be in the outdoors in New England winter, and are dedicated to keeping our cast and crew comfortable, safe, and happy.
Lastly, as filmmakers who are new to the scene, we know there will be a learning curve to tackle.
