Hello, my name is Marc Anthony Brown and I would like to thank you all for stopping by and checking out my campaign. Growing up, I always wanted to tell stories; to add my mark to the ever growing list of fictitious tales that has spanned back for generations. I have read dozens of comics over the years with the goal of one day of creating my own; and now that day has arrived.
"The Outrider" comic follows Marcel Lozada, a 19-year-old college student attending the fictitious Alden State University. Marcel is the first superhuman in existence, and with that, he is continuously faced at a crossroads deciding what type of person he wants to be? This series aims to show the reality of being a student in a university setting, tackling themes and situations many college students face.
Alongside Marcel is his best friend, Andrea "Andi" Negrón. A fellow undergrad at ASU, she carries her own baggage as the granddaughter of an ex-assassin. Years of training and situations have left Andi physically and mentally scarred, leading to her new aspiration to make college memories, sometimes being an opposing force to Marcel's enthusiasm for super-heroics.
I have backed campaigns in the past with Indiegogo and with the help of my awesome team, we are trying to get my creation up off the ground. With backing this first issue a wide variety of perks based on ranking [See list below]. I was always hesitant to release a comic, unsure if my stories should be told. However, after the 2020 Coronavirus pandemic I felt inspired, to do things I never thought I could do. And with this being my first comic there is an understanding that there won't be an extreme gain of profit. But that is okay, my team and I are just out here to share the stories we want told.
